29.12.2016. 11.34.10: HTTP: -1 Socket Error # 10054
Connection reset by peer., URL: http://www.bing.com/search/?
I get those errors when scraping web2.0s.
230k kw's , harvester stopped after an hour after scraping only 190k urls .
2 threads with 20 shared and 30 private proxies.
No antivirus there. Few days ago with 20 shared proxies and 12 threads i scraped 6mill urls.
I have not clue what is going on now...
the 10054 error is a connection terminated error. So this could be caused by security software, it could be a router, it can be the proxy just failing, it can be a lot of things. Generally whitelisting in all security software, and routers is the first step. You can also try and bypass the router and/or disable the router. When you disable anti-virus though and some malware software, it only stops new rules from forming, but existing rules still fire. So you want to fully whitelist, however when disabling a router firewall it does actually disable it.
I know you have no anti-virus, but it can be the microsoft security essentials/windows defender as well.
does this software work in scraping highly converting email leads?
Thats a multi part question jammed into one.
Does scrapebox scrape email addresses. Yes
Do they convert highly, that depends entirely on you.
Firstly on what you consider "highly converting" as thats subjective and non specific.
Second, how good of a campaign you build, your copy, your understanding of people, marketing etc.. So the bulk of what is highly converting or not has nothing to do with scrapebox but with your skills.
Thanks loopline. I just saw the error log and it is huge! I keep getting this error repeatedly: 2/28/2016 3:04:33 PM: HTTP: -1 Socket Error # 10054 - Probably bad proxies? I'm using the server proxies to scrape. I tried using private proxies as well but same result, I was only using 10 maybe I burned them? I'm scraping Bing for tumblrs. Please let me know how to proceed. Thanks!
loopline you're right it's probably windows 10 doing this. I am trying to whitelist scrapebox by dowloading EMET but I'm stuck on how to do it, any suggestions?
Microsoft thinks we are all idiots and wants to tell us what we want. What I mean by that is for me at least, in windows 10, when you turn off the security software built into windows, it turns it off for like 2 mins and then turns it back on. No questions asked, it will always turn it back on. I had to google for a registry hack to force it to stay off.
