Does scrapebox harvest mobile numbers or phone numbers
Yes. Last I checked a mobile number was a phone number, I think thats why they are called mobile phones. You can specify any format you want though.
Hello! Happy new year! I bought scrapebox before some years but my hard disk died so i lost scrapebox and my license. Is it possible to give me a new one for free? Or do i have to buy it again.
ITs a lifetime license. Just download Scrapebox, unzip it to a folder on your desktop or in your documents folder, run it, click activate and enter your license info. Just look in your backups where you store all your important info for your scrapebox info.
Its name, license email, and paypal transaction ID from the purchase.
I got the answer to my first question but does it harvest targeted numbers based on search term. And how many numbers does it harvest say per hour? Just give me a rough estimate.
It scrapes numbers from the pages you load in. So you would first scrape search engines for your terms and then scrape those resulting pages for phone numbers.
Don't over think it, the entire premise of scrapebox is to build seperate components so they are more powerful and can be used in any combination. Its not a "enter some terms and magically get phone numbers back"
Scrapebox was built to help the developer automate tasks they were manually doing. It was a personal tool, they then sold it to a few friends to help fund development and then the rest of us got wind of it and it went public.
So if you go to a browser in google and search for car dealerships and then copy and paste each resulting url to a text file and save it, thats step 1. Then you go back and load each page and find a phone number on their pages and highlight and copy that number to the clipboard and paste it in notepad and save it, thats step 2. Thats the manual process.
Scrapebox will go to the search engines and grab all the results for car dealership, thats step one and it will give you a list of urls. Then you can load that list of urls in the phone number grabber and it will visit each page and grab any phone numbers on that page and save them to a text file, thats step 2.
Do you see how it merely automates a manual process? Thats how you should approach any SEO tool. Frankly you should probably do each process your trying to do manually so you grasp it and then try to automate it. I pretty much do that, or I have in so many areas I already can grasp the concept of a brand new tool and hit the ground running. If I can't I do it manually to figure out whats going on. Else your really just pushing buttons hoping for a result without a clear understanding of what your doing.
Answering how fast it can go is a question that can't be answered without more info. If your on an old slow pc with a dialup connection and your pushing buttons without understanding what a good footprint is and hoping for the best you might get 1 phone number a minute or 1 every 5 or 10 mins. If your on a dedicated server with a 1000mbit connection and you have a crystal clear understanding of what your after and how to get it, you might get 1000 phone numbers a minute. The tool is only as good as its master, and in the case of Scrapebox can also only go as fast as your pc and network resources will allow.
Thats probably not really helpful, but there is only 1 way to truely find out the answer, just try it. Scrape the terms you think you want, grab mails from them and see what you get. If you get what you want, great, if not figure out why by looking at pages manually and such and adjust course and go from there.
Okay that's great but how for instance can I use it to harvest persons looking for roofing repairs for instance as opposed to roofing businesses that do repairs? Because obviously if I enter roof repairs as a word it is going to bring up contacts of businesses that do roofing repairs rather individuals looking for roofing repairs.
How would you do that in google? Find 10 people manually that are looking for it and then step back and figure out how you did it. Your question, and no offense here, isn't how to use scrapebox is how to use the internet to get what you want. Its probably beyond the scope of this thread, but for kicks and giggles:
You probably want to visit google in a browser and then start by searching things like
"How do I fix my own roof"
"My roof is leaking, what do I do"
etc...
If you have a roofing business then you probably know the most common questions you hear from folks. Use those. Make a list.
Your probably going to wind up with people on facebook, twitter, forums, yahoo answers etc.. asking these questions.
Your challenge is that your looking to find average every day consumers that want something. B2B is easy online, but finding B2C customers means you need to be looking at where regular people generate content. Content is the only thing that can be indexed by a search engine.
Now maybe your market is B2B roofing repairs, but most B2B folks aren't posting on their own website asking for someone to contact them about roofing repairs. So you again would probably need social media etc.. to find such.
So you could be proactive, during peak roofing repair season simply blast thousands of contact forms of businesses in your area saying "hey Im Joe the roofer and if you need anything let me know" etc..
Depending on email laws in your country you might be able to mail them too etc... but thats way beyond the scope of this thread.
Else you are probably better of not using Scrapebox for this task honestly. If it were me Im going to google my questions and then set a time frame of the past 7 days or maybe the past 30 days depending on how fast your market moves on things. You probably know this data. Then tack on your local area perhaps and go eyeballing facebook for example for posts people are saying about this. Then you will have to verify that they are in your local area and then contact them, which will probably not be thru a phone call. It probably won't be thru a phone call because people probably don't go posting stuff like "Hey my roof is leaking, here is my phone number, some business please call me". It doesn't work that way.
If my roof is leaking, or when it was a few years ago I picked up the phone and text my roofer. If I don't have a roofer Im going to ask around and then worst case Im going online to read reviews. When I moved to Detroit Michigan and I needed a Mechanic I spent time asking around, that proved useless. so I went to google and reviews. I found 1 place that had 5 reviews but I parked across the street from their show and after watching them for 10 mins could just tell they were not the stereo type of someone I would trust with my car. I found a guy on my phone that had 29 google reviews, I mean no one else around was even close to that many, not even by a long shot, 5 reviews the most other. Almost all of the reviews mentioned the owners name, Marc. I was mostly sold, called him, after talking on the phone he seemed right, walked in the door and in short order could tell this guy was on point. Its why he was mentioned by name in so many reviews, he was the real deal. And he did a fantastic job and we talked at length and he is my mechanic.
I tell the story to tell the process. Never did I post anywhere that I was looking for a mechanic. Had it been my wife, she would have posted on facebook, as she is a facebook avid user (Im not, waste of time, lets just talk face to face etc... I spend enough time on forums I dont' need facebook) but she would never post her number because anyone can just message her.
So back to the point, who is your customer? What are their habits? If you want to sell promotional products to other businesses, the phone number scraper and contact form poster make loads of sense. If you want to find every day consumers who need their house/garage/shed roof fixed, then your probably going to need to understand them, how they use the internet and use your knowledge of the internet to find them in the first place. The medium they use to post will vary and likley won't include a phone number, but the method by which you can contact them will likely vary so you should be eyeballing this or paying an assitant to do so.
By that I mean if they post on yahoo answers "Who is the best person for roofing repairs in Charleston North Carolina?" Then your going to need to reply to their question with an answer and include your contact info. If they post on Craiglist in a want ad, then your going to need to reply them by email, unless they include a phone number, If they post on facebook then you probably will need to message them or friend request them and put in the reason that "you know a roofer or you are a roofer" etc..
So this requires a human element of creativity and cleverness.
The right tool for the right job. I use my rubber mallet for tapping wood pegs into something delicate, and I use my 2lb sledge hammer and crowbar for tearing boards apart when Im tearing something down. Switch those 2 around and your going to not get the desired result.
I don't think, or at least I can't really think of a good way, to use Scrapebox to find every day consumers phone numbers that need roofing repair. Id use firefox and google.com and some creativity.
</end short book> lol
