well i tried a diff approach

i installed virtualbox on my pc of xp/sp1

then i made a virtual drive of an xp/sp1 clean install
i then thumb drived the 1.64 onto the xp/sp1 virtual machine
and it loaded.

thus sweat is correct, i can only think i have something disabled in
my services.msc and what i dont need i disable

confirmed , something was disabled in services.msc my fault

You can do this now, you just need enough proxies and moz accounts. The page authority addon uses moz, moz sets a 1 request per every 10 seconds limit to free accounts.

So you can do 1 of 2 things.

Contact MOZ, sign up for a paid account, get a custom built app to interface with their API - this should be a few hundred dollars probably, and then you can pay moz several hundred dollars per month, and you can do what you want.

OR

You can go register a ton of moz accounts, get a bunch of proxies, and let scrapebox do it for free.

So the only person that can improve it is you, you just have to decide which path you want to choose.

Is scraping proxies supposed to take a long time? I just spent the last hour scraping proxies from the built in sources and testing them. Of the 1500 proxies, only ~ 40 worked on Google.

proxy tester , back at 3/4k google passed... cheers sweet.

Just think that most of the scrapebox users are using those inbuilt proxy sources. That's why you got only few google passed proxies. Try to find different sources and check those instead. Also there are a lot of public proxies providers here on BHW who are offering premium services but a lot of them are also posting daily lists of free public proxies. Check the proxy section.

I am having trouble activating. I would get the email, but the button activate is still highlighted. I even tried to download the newest version. This happen last month on the 23rd as well, but i was not worried about it because i just got a vps

I see. In that case, I should just forget about all the sources they have. Anyways, I tried removing those sources but couldn't. Is there any way to remove all 53 Support Sources? I tried clicking remove and right clicking and then click remove. They still show up.

So did you get a new machine then? There really isn't much help that you can get on the forum about activating your license, because it involves sensitive data. You really need to mail support.

Scraping public proxies isn't necessarily a bad idea, but the included sources are HEAVILY used. So you would just need to find your own proxy sources. Also you can not remove the included ones. If you want to not use them then just uncheck them and use the ones you add yourself.

I only managed to harvest 400 URLs in 135:13 minutes.

Could be your proxy speed is what's slowing you down.

Anybody have an issue with Custom Harvester? Whenever I try it Scrapebox hangs saying Getting Proxies and 0 connections used?

Same to me,Last few month i was got 70K+ url with using 10 private proxy but now after 3k link harvest scrapebox stop harvesting,But when i check proxy its look FAST.

Try to use a single or maximum two connections with 10 private proxies. Google is temp banning the proxies faster these day.

Yes that is extremely slow, but it could be that there are no results for most of your queries, it could be that most of your proxies are dead etc...

You can try a sample test of your queries with no proxies (just uncheck the use proxies box) and then try it, does it go faster and get more results? If so then you need new/better proxies.

If it does not get results then try your proxies with basic keywords like

car
truck
boat
green
grass
etc....

Does it work? You can also try your queries in a browser on google.com etc... do they return results?

1 connection is max, as mentioned by alaltaierii, and he is right google bans quite fast these days.

1 connection may still be too fast. Try this:

Go to settings >> use multi threaded harvester - and uncheck this. Also under that same settings menu uncheck the use custom harvester. Then try and harvest, there will be a status column. What errors are you getting in the status column?

Also you can try using a delay. Go to the delay drop down in the lower right hand quadrant. set it to RND. Then go to settings >> Adjust RND delay range. Then set it to like min 3 seconds max 10 or so and give it a try. You can experiment with the delay settings to see where the minimum effective delay is.

Did you wait at least 24 hours before testing with a single connection? If not your proxies are probably temp banned by google.
I just made a short test with 10 private proxies and I harvested over 22k links in about 15 minutes.

Nice that it's all working again Tony, I know for a long time you have been going crazy with the proxy testing not working properly.
