simple question is the update from 63 - 64 not workable on xp/sp1
do i need to stick with 63 to keep using it that way with that os set up

No nothing has been changed to stop it working on XP SP1, the error 17 you are getting in simple terms means the exe is corrupt. The exe on the server is not corrupt or the thousand plus people who are running v1.16.4 right now would be getting exactly the same error as you.

Which means something is happening to it during download, or when the file is being unzipped or at runtime. So as Softtouch mentioned, try downloading a fresh copy, ensure nothing is interfering with the download and unzipping of it.

i can update it on windows 8 and i wonder what is new featured on Scrapebox 2 because on the update status menu it says :

Add: Changes in preparation for the release of ScrapeBox v2

hello sweet , well i contacted one of my subs and got him to
to send me the updated version via skype..

i made 2 backups of my 1.63 then did a test, folder by folder, filer by file
i coppied all his files over 1 of my coppies of 1.63 each file i coppied i then attempted
a load, it loaded every time until i coppied the s.box exe then failed error 17.

i tried downloading from site again error 17, tried updating a backup coppy 1.63-64
failed error 17, cant think what else to do,

Can you zip one of the exe which gives you error 17 and send it to me by email, together with the scrapebox.sil file you can find in the configuration folder?

trying to click update icon after the update is says do u want to update to

should add i downloade 1.63 2-3 weeks ago, no issues

wondering if something my end is screwed up as 63 works
and 64 wont, i am aware xp/sp1 is old but im bound by it for port scanning

No it works fine for me. That means that its busy finding proxies and until it finds the number of proxies you specified, it will keep searching. Can you post a screenshot of your custom harvester settings?

just thought ide mention i downloaded 1.63 from here aug 23rd

also. i downloaded 1.64 and placed it on a thumb drive
i opened it on my wife pc xp/sp3 -- it opened no license found
same again took it from thumb drive onto my win 7 machine it opened no license found
and finally onto my xp/sp1 proxy machine took the winrar file extracted files to folder
execute s/box exe error 17

i no its the s/box 1.64 exe causing the issue, as i can copy all the files of 1.64 over 1.63
except the exe and scrapebox still loads saying update to 1.64, as soon as i over write
the 1.63 exe with 1.64 exe error 17

Automator v1.0.0.22 just uploaded, with select files to compare and select files to compare on domain level features added. So please update Automator for the new features.

Managed to make the Broken Links Checker crash again Sent an email to support with the URLs this time + Bug Report.

Would be nice to be able to recheck URLs that you import again which have the status Error. I sometimes get that status but if I run it again it works fine.

It seems to be from when you clicked the column header in the grid, i cant replicate it at all but v1.0.0.2 is just uploaded and should hopefully fix it.

This license was resold, i dont know if you were the one who bought it or sold it but reselling licenses is against the TOS.

Proxygo there's nothing wrong with the file you sent me, it runs on all my machines. It also doesnt need .net framework. So something on your machine is corrupting it at runtime, possibly your antivirus scanning it while it's trying to execute. I remember your AV software causing problems before, so i would check this first.
