Well its really easy. Open up google in a browser and then figure out what you have to type into google in order for it to return the pages your looking for. Once you know what to type into google to get what you want, just put that same exact footprint in scrapebox.

How can we fore scrapebox to use proxies or change useragent while grabbing emails? I get very fast 404 error and see there is option of proxy - these are never used.

Yes it can use the turing API. It scrapes from:
ABCArticle
ABCDashboard
ArticleBiz
Proxies are used by the email grabber, but you need to make sure the use proxies box is ticked off.
You can't have it auto rotate user agents while working, but just randomize your list before you start, that way you are not hammering the same domain all at once. Just export and randomize and then use the import and add to option to bring them back in, and it will retain the random order.
I purchased Scrapebox recently and at first did not configure it right and I got my private proxies banned from squid proxies (they replaced it very soon though).
So now I am using 1 max connections for 20 private proxies and I can scrape for a long - long - long tiem w/o problems.
So just keep it low, I mean leave it for a night and wait ;d

DO you mean the field under harvesting engines? I tryied to tick it off and on - but in the grab emial there are not proxies in this proxy column appearing like in other addons.

Really though you don't need a trial, look at the number of pages in this thread, and go read the thousands of reviews online.
Yes, the lower left hand quadrant of the main window is select engines and proxies. Tick off the use proxies box there.
You are correct, the current version does not display anything in the proxy box, but its only a display error, it does indeed use proxies. You can always test by working backwards and by that I mean, make up a fake proxies, and check off the use proxies box. So put something like
192.192.192.192:7000
in as a proxy, as the Only proxy, and tick the use proxies box. Then try the email grabber, every connection will error out if you leave it for a bit. Then untick the use proxies box and try to grab emails from the same list with the same useragent, it will work. So its using them, its just not populating the proxy display box in the email grabber. Ill mail support about the display error.

I have a question regarding the automator.
I set it to post and after checking the posted links to load the results, trim them to root and do a "site:" harvesting.
The problem is that after posting it's start the link checker but it doesn't wait for that to export the result and close it's start right away to harvest.
Any info on how to make thing to work?

Last I talked to them about it, they did plan on expanding the list. However they are trying to include directories that both have a good selection and also don't ban IPs quickly. EA of course is ban happy so that makes them a difficult target.

I tried out the new browser ping mode and can't get it to show up in the analytics of my site. Actually, not even the reg. ping mode did it ever show the hits. Am I doing it wrong?
I add a list of sites I want to ping
I add a list of referrers
I tick the ping mode box
I specify the numbers of pings per url
And lastly, for the new browser plugin ping option, I tick the option via "settings" at the top
And nothing. Do I need to add a list of IP addresses somewhere, either with working proxies, or just a list of IP addresses I want showing? Or anything else? Hopefully someone can chime in on this with a solution.
