The comments will be saved in scrapebox main folder.
so, "comments_grabbed_20130423_03145.txt" is actually the file that contains the comments that you grabbed. :)

Thats probably not going to work. Your should resubmit for activation with your paypal email address or email them and tell them you want to change it to the new email.

They are going to try and match up a payment with the email you submitted and its not going to be there and its not going to get activated (probably).

I would contact them at support (at} scrapebox [dot] com

Hi, i have received email that my scrapebox license has been transferred to my new vps, but still showing 'no valid license' when i tried to use, contact support but no reply. Please reply back to me. thanks

I tried emailing Support. They seem to have not read my email, and sent me the generic "watch these videos" response.

It's frustrating that a server modification makes me unable to use the product. At this point the only proof I have is a post I made four years ago, where I stated I had purchased Scrapebox and would recommend it.

support gets hundreds of emails a day - be patient

Already waiting for 8 days

If your waiting for 8 days then something is wrong on your end. Support rarely takes over 24 hours and usually less. If you got the email saying it was transferred then it could be one of a few things.

Go to help >> test sever connection. Do you have 6 green lights? If you have any red lights, then it means that something is blocking scrpaebox and that is going to stop it from being able to reach the activation servers, which is then going to say no valid license. So you would need to find the block and deal with it on your end.

Else if you submitted for activation and then decided to move to a new vps/pc or resinstall your OS then when it was transferred it will be transferred to the old install.

If you have 6 green lights, email support back with your SIL file. Its a scrapebox.sil file and its in your main scrapebox folder >> configuration folder. MAKE SURE that you CLOSE DOWN scrapebox and WAIT a few seconds before coping the file. Scrapebox writes to the file on exit and if you copy the file while scrapebox is open then you will have an empty file.

They can look up your TID for you, it just takes longer then it does for you to look it up. I realize its frustrating for you not be able to readily use your software, but the server modifications were made to make the software better and more usable. So you benefit in the end. You also have to realize its frustrating for support as well, because you purchased the license, and its your responsibility to keep your license details, not theirs. Personally I think they should charge $10 every time they have to waste time looking up someones license details because that person was irresponsible and didn't save them and have a backup plan in place for their important files. Not flaming you, just stating facts. Time they spend looking up license details is time wasted that could be spent on development. Thus we all lose from loss of additional features that can't happen due to time restraints. Just saying my 2 cents.

Still life happens and they will look it up and they don't currently charge. But they are going to send the license details to your license email. If you also deleted that, then you are going to have to purchase a new license. If you still have that then email them back and they can email the TID to that email addy and then you will be all set.

Probably should write it down in a safe spot this time. :)

Did you close scrapebox and re-open it since the request was activated?

Yes, I should write down the Transaction ID. Because writing down Transaction IDs is my responsibility. Even though the software stored my information to verify it each and every time I used the software.

If I had to email Microsoft support every time they made an alteration imagine the inconvenience. I appreciate that Scrapebox moved servers, but how does a fudge up on their part translate into me needing to repurchase a lifetime license for a software?

I would be happy to pay $10 to regain access. I bought the software in the early stages and supported the software when it was most vulnerable. And through errors on both sides, I now have to purchase a second copy. Scrapebox wins and I lose.

I might need to purchase a second copy. Apart from implying I was irresponsible after Scrapebox deleted my information, you have been very helpful.

Thanks.

WOW I FOUND IT!

WOOOOOOO!

November 2009. Wowza that was a long time ago.

Thank you for the help!

I was thinking about scraping high PR URLs in any niche so I could comment manually on them. I would just put in my name and my link to my homepage in the website field.
If I was to do this do you think it would be a good idea to help me get PR eventually?

Sweet!

Also by the way, if you have deleted that old email address, but you have your TID and that old email. You can email support and they can update your license to a current email addy that you have so that you will be all good.

On the license server, the move not only helped improve scrapebox, but also it shot down some issues, essentially forcing users to upgrade to the latest version.

That said, perhaps Im misunderstanding your issue and all you need to do is to install the latest version. If thats the case just downlaod it and install it and it will attach to your existing license as they didn't actually make your license invalid, just old versions of scrapebox connect to a non existent licensing server.

You can download scrapebox from here:
http://www.scrapebox.com/payment-received

Either way you would want to run the latest version.

Well unless they are ******** then they are not going to pass PR juice. So nofollow links can help you rank in the search results, but they are not going to help your site gain PR. So you would just want to focus on ******** sites and yes, long term it would add to your PR.

I c, thx. Do you have any footprint suggestions where I am likely to come across do follow sites?

I would love to know also, the server upgrades back in August last year just means versions released before then will no longer work. Support replied to your email in 1 hour explaining this, and you were provided with the download link to the latest version along with step by step video tutorials on how to lookup your payment address, transaction id and how to transfer your license.

Regardless of the server upgrades, it's pretty common for software developers and Microsoft as you mention to no longer support something 100 version of out date and prompt people to update. You don't "lose" as you mentioned you "win", because you get a stack of shiny new features and updates are completely free. :)
