Yes, I believe a jealous competitor (who's name I wont mention here) is behind all this crap.
Instead of offering better support and software, some people think that a ddos might be easier.

I would say what I said before, because this was an attack across 5 servers, IOW the whole Scrapeboox empire - this was a sophisticated and concerted attack.
We should do something to help SF protect him/herself against further outages (outrages). Perhaps a slush fund to increase the defences and diversity, it's in our interests is it not ?

Well, having said this.
Perhaps Sweetfunny would like to organize and post a donation point in the main forum, so actions could speak louder than words. I am sure that we all agree that SB is a very fair bargain, and could afford a few extra dollars from each of our pockets. Perhaps it could be BHW's first crowdfunding project

I agree with the above posts, I'd be happy to chip in a bit of $$ to help them move to cloud hosting, or hosting with awesome DDOS protection, or whatever they decided to, and I'm sure many other SB customers would as well... Maybe give donors of $XX a new skin for scrapebox, i think it'd look sleek in grey/black =P

They know they could have made more off scrapebox but they didn't for a reason. They don't want any type of fund, they just wanted to give to the community. I'm pretty confident that they would not accept any funds, they are perfectly fine and happy.

Maybe, but you have to consider, that they are in Australia, and cost of living there is off the charts. They tax the taxes there and I know of a friend there that has a 500K house that they could easily buy here for 100K. Plus of course there is more then one person that gets a cut.
Anyway, Im not saying they are broke, Im sure they aren't, regardless whoever is attacking them is attacking the whole community and its just annoying.
