hello .. i dont have a paypal ..cuz its not available in Egypt .. where i stay .. so wht i can do now ??

You can have anyone pay for Scrapebox for you. You just need to let the Scrapebox team know that this is the case. After payment is made you should use the contact form on scrapebox.com to notify them that someone else has purchased it for you, but you would like scrapebox registered in your name. Be sure to include the following when you submit the form:

  • The unique paypal transaction ID
  • The email used to pay
  • Your email
  • Your name
  • That someone else is buying scrapebox for you
The form can be found here: http://www.scrapebox.com/contact-us

This was fixed in the .32 update. Please check that you are using the latest version of SB.

Im having a small issue. The other I was testing a newly scraped list. I contacted support and they said to fix all urls (for ex htp:// > http://). I did this and then use the malware site checker tool. The tool itself only removed 5 urls. Today I tryed re-posting to list with all the things above edited and I still was getting out of memory errors. Anything you can suggest me?

Hi,

I've been trying to test my proxies in the SB proxy checker however after 20 minutes or so they all start failing and then once I stop it and try to start it up again I get a message saying "please retry in a few seconds". I go and check the SB servers and all are red apart from the 2 ping ones.

The only way I can get it to start working again is to close SB and re-open it. However the same thing happens after 20 minutes.

My settings are as follows:

Proxy harvester connections: 60
Proxy harvester timeout: 45 seconds
Running on Windows XP SP3
Netgear DG834G router
Anti-virus software = AVG 2012
Firewall = Windows Firewall

I've tried doing the following:

* Turning my proxy harvester connections down - it doesn't stop in 20 minutes when doing this but stops after about 30 minutes instead.
* Tested turning my timeouts up and this does the same thing as above.
* Then tried turning my proxy harvester connections UP to 100 and the timeouts to 10 seconds and by doing this the problem happens in about 30 seconds!!
* I've uninstalled all anti-virus software to make sure that they are not blocking it in anyone but still the same thing happens.
* Tested using the old proxy harvester checker but again the same thing happens.
* Turned my firewall off and added it to the "Accepted Program List" and still no luck.

I have a feeling that it is when SB gets to a certain number of outgoing connections, something kicks in and stops it - but I have no idea what.

I am running out of ideas and am hoping someone knows how to fix this.

Please help!!

Thanks

GM

Your right about something stopping it. It is being blocked by something on your pc/network. So an anti-virus for instance has a threshold and when scrapebox crosses that number of connections threshold it looks like a virus to the anti-virus or whatever is blocking it.

It could be a anti-virus, malware checker, firewall, firewall in your router or some other software on your pc. so just add allow rules to everything for scrapebox.

Sorry to be asking this again as I am sure it has been asked.
But is there a discount if an existing customer buys a license again?

Yes, it was $10 less like 2 years ago in late 2009. I think it changed like summer 2010. Its worth about $500, so its currently running about $440 cheaper then its valued at, so that makes for a good deal.

Is there any method on scrapebox where I could post the url of the page currently commenting on within the comment or trackback?

For example:
This is a great post about dolphins at (url of page commenting on)

For every comment I make.

Sure, it shows how to do that in the FAQ:

http://scrapeboxfaq.com/what-tokens-can-i-use-in-the-comments-file

Copied from there:

%BLOGURL% will be replaced with the blog?s url you are commenting on, hyperlinked (except BE, just the url)

This will only work with the blog commenter, not with trackbacks.

I noticed a slow process of Link Checker and sometimes tool is stucked and gives a black screen. Is there a bug? I have updated to latest update :)

I always get the blackscreen on the link checker. It just means that its busy and windows can't paint the screen. This is more common, for me anyway, when I am using a vps/dedi server. When there isn't enough bandwidth or resources to paint the screen via remote desktop it just gives a black screen. Which is entirely normal, the process is still running fine in the back ground almost always. I just let it go and when its done it comes back.

On a local pc its not bandwidth related, but there just isn't enough processor/memory free to paint the screen because its devoting too much of its allotted resources to actually doing the link checking. Again this is normal behavior.

As for it being slow it can be any number of things. Network congestion on your ISPs network, slow DNS or slow DNS due to network congestion, too many other things running on your pc and the link checker doesn't have the resources it needs. Maybe its on peak time for all the sites you are trying to check links on and they are loading slow because of it. The list goes on.

Thanks for the explanation. Bandwidth would be the bottleneck.
