Hi Loopline,

I have been watching your youtube videos and I have a question about -
"Index your links with RSS Ping" youtube.com/user/looplinescrapebox#p/u/18/z3SzAFBEKew

when I clicked 'start scan' in export rss every result in the status column came back with 'error 404'? Is it pointless in me continuing if the result is error 404? Should I just manually make the RSS file?

ok I turned off the proxies and now this works.. I am using public proxies but I guess they are dodgy and don't always work :/

Are the urls really alive? Scrapebox does a great job at making the xml files, so if its returning 404s then the urls might be dead. If they are indeed 404 then yes its pointless to continue. You might need to turn your connections down under settings >> adjust connections. turn down the rss export connections. If you have too many connections running then your connection might not be able to handle it and return errors, that or if its all pages from teh same domain and the connections are too high it might think you are hammering and just return errors.

I have another question about the RSS ping technique. Can I use whois and trackback links for the XML file or would you recommend just using comment post backlinks or can I use all three?
 
Hi Sweetfunny, i attempted to transfer my second license last friday. I have used the option in scrapebox on the new server, and emailed support@ but have not had a response.

When i bought my second license i accidentally typed an incorrect email address (.com instead of .co.uk) which you spotted and said it would not be a problem and you would change it. I wonder if this has caused an issue.

I realize you are busy but would appreciate acknowledgment of my request even if you cant do it just yet, so i know it will go through.

I've just bought it too. Have submitted reg details. Waiting for reg no. Any chance of a fast track?
 
Feature suggestion:

It would be cool if we could use the power of scrapebox to scrape whatever content we like to. Scrapebox could provide an addon that let us modify the HTTP headers, request methods (POST, GET), URL parameters as well as the regex to extract the data we want to. I assume it requires a lot of work but it would be cool!

I have a support issue with scrape box. I've got it all setup right, and have tried various different instances of scraping URLs from keywords.

Each time I try to scrape the URLs harvested box only shows one result and it's an odd string of characters. Has anyone seen this before? Can you help?

Yes, it does. But for that, you need to have a lot of working proxies, and a lot of varied referrers.

I think that isn't quite useful for a regular webmaster.

But only the dev team can comment on it's scope in SB.

I don't get your problem exactly. Can you post a screenshot of what's happening?
 
I've tried it over and over and over again but I seem to be having problems with the proxy harvester.

Whenever I test a list of proxies I have, Scrapebox will crash before the list is completed. I get this:

Access violation at address 009DA4D4 in module 'scrapebox.exe'. Read of address 00000000.

Can anyone help me with this?

Here's what you should try:
1. Download CCleaner, install and run.
2. Restart your computer

This should fix the problem.
 
Hey, thanks for helping out! Unfortunately, I tried it and still had the same problem. Should I be pointing CCleaner to scrapebox.exe? I just installed it and ran it straight away, then restarted.

No, that's fine what you did.

I suggest you uninstall ScrapeBox, and remove any left-over traces using a program like Revo Uninstaller, and re-install SB.
 
Thanks for all the help so far TheMatrix. I installed Revo Uninstaller and I'm not sure how to remove traces of Scrapebox with it - since it doesn't turn up on my Add/Remove Programs list.

I did a couple of searches and I haven't managed to find someone with the same problem. I've deleted my entire Scrapebox folder, run CCleaner, restarted my pc, and downloaded SB again but it still isn't working.

I'd appreciate any other viable options that might fix this.
