I wanted to share a free tool that I had developed for my new scrapebox classroom site that is coming out.

It allows you to keep X urls from a given domain. So say you had a giant list of urls, but you only wanted to comment to 3 of the urls from each domain so you didn't look spammy to the admin. This tool will let you keep only the number of urls you specify and it will discard the rest.

You can also optionally choose to have root/homepage urls removed as you generally can't leave a comment on those urls.

This tool is a free tool that we are giving away. I am not trying to hijack this thread or blindside anyone here, so will be upfront and say that it does require an email sign up to get the tool. We aren't going to spam you to death, but we will send you a notification when scrapebox classroom actually launches. If you don't like this then just sign up, get the tool and then unsubscribe. Awesome, single thread off is working.

Before It was just saying harvesting and would never stop, but it would harvest nothing, while yahoo was harvesting.

Yahoo would finish, and google would still say harvesting but not do anything.

But cool, Im glad to hear that everything is working properly for me. What a great tool. Fairly easy to use too. I am starting to understand the basics and Ive only had it for a few days.

Yea loop, I went through crashdump and using fastposter. Still cannot find the problem with what url is break the thing. Its frustrating to no end. I've even gone through and deleted everything with [] or () that seems to break the program. Oh well I don't have time to mess with this right now. Two exams in the next two days ><

I've also gone through the malware addon and everythin was fine

What I do when I have a problem list is import it into the urls harvested section, click the urls tab to make sure its sorted alphabetically (so if its a problem domain they are all together) and then split the list.

One method is to split the list, post to both, which ever crashes, split it again and keep halfing it until you either have a small enough list to work with to find the issue, or just trash it.

The other would be split it into like 10 pieces from the get go and then just post to each and then split again if neccesary.

Either way you either get to a list thats workable or thats not worth the time and you can trash it.

At the end of the day you have to weigh in your time too. Cause how long would it take you to rescrape/replace the list? Obviously if it takes longer to mess with then replace then trash it and the hassle with it. Else half it a couple of times until its small enough you aren't losing much.

The more popular scrapebox becomes the more popular it becomes to attack it. Its probably undergoing a DDoS or something. I am sure they will have it back online shortly.

Yea I ended up trashing the list and went ahead and started to expand one of my AA sublists instead.

I do like the idea of divide and conquer though. Make short work of a long problem

cant find bulk checker of indexed sites of specific webpages. wanna load 30 sites and see how many indexes pages it have. I remember this was addon but it's gone :O ?

You can get the indexed pages count using the Google Competition Finder addon like this:

Out of memory is pretty straight forward, scrapebox ran out of memory to use. It can only use 1.8GB of memory, since its a 32 bit app, but I almost never run out of memory. I would guess that with only lists of 20K in the OBL checker that its running out of memory not because its capped out on the 1.8GB that it can use, but because you don't physically have enough free. Because I work with lists in excess of 500K all the time.

So the only settings you can change are to either work with smaller lists or run down to the electronics store and buy some more RAM for your PC.

I get crashes now on lists smaller than 10k, mind you - I use mostly trackbacks and crash dump doesn't seem to work with TB's...

I suspect that there is a proliferation of iframe and screen inject viruses and trojans and somehow they manage to lock the SB in spite of a decent antivirus.

I'm running out of things to try to fix it...

I'm trying to transfer my license but it says "We have not being able to submit your activation request!". Has this got something to do with Scrapebox.com being down along with their activation processing server? Any way out?
