Hi,
I don't know whether is the proper place for leaving feedback but I will take the risk.
I am extremely satisfied with SB.However, is it possible to put an option in the Outbound link checker to pull only the external or internal. This would save huge amount of memory.
Hope got the idea.

Yeah, kinda. However, in the ScrapeBox Link Extractor you export the external links but I need to export the urls with less then XXXX links.

Not an issue. Run through the Link Extractor the list you want to check. Sort by no of links found, export, open file, and then manually remove the links below your threshold.

I didn't meant that. I think It will be good idea to be able to choose whether the OL checker to display only the external or internal or both links found on an URL.

you mean search for both but be able to export as either internal or external?

ScrapeBox crashing on larger lists - one solution

It's been really bugging me lately - my vps would crash, my SB would crash - I have 1gb vps with half-decent connection (just to get my feet well wet, I'd probably go for dedi after that)...

I've posted here, I bugged the support, finally I started splitting larger files into 10k chunks. I harvest and post mostly to TB's and I started keeping notes on different footprints, harvesting methods, etc. and percentage of found.

My last list was 55k and after splitting it - all but one went through fine. That one would go part way and the SB would crash, some symptoms were weird, not only the black screen, but also erratic behavior, vps chocking, etc. I decided to dissect that file and I ran it through malware add-on - sure enough there were 21 suspicious files! I've removed them and the rest of the list went through smoothly. I'm going to add it to my routine now as it sure saves a lot of headache!

Sweetfunny, would you like us to save those urls for you for research?

I can't speak for Sweetfunny, but I don't think it would be of a use to save the urls. Sweetfunny can't take the malware off the site, and Google already maintains the malware information so no need to reinvent the wheel.

btw does anyone know how to check and see if you're proxies are askmeit banned or w/e it is?

I just ran a blast of 50k what should have been AA and I'm not getting as many as I expected

I don't see my proxies blocked as often as my urls. It would stand to reason that it would take a lot more to block an IP then a actual url. Because you have so many people with shared IPs and ISPs that dynamically assign IPs. So here is a free tip. When I build AA lists I always use fresh urls, never existing sites. I will often use forum profiles or such. Plus you get free links to a tier 1 site. :)

Of course its subjective at that point, cause then if you go to blast your money site and its blocked its not going to help you. however if you have multiple money sites and some are blocked and some aren't or your hitting tier 1 sites then thats the advantage, because you will get the most optimal results possible.

Its not uncommon for me to run the same list on multiple sites with same connections and get a farily wide range of results.

I didn't meant that. I think It will be good idea to be able to choose whether the OL checker to display only the external or internal or both links found on an URL.

So your saying you want the Outbound link checker to check inbound links too? Just the count I mean? I mean firstly that would not be practical for an Outbound link checker to check Inbound links, but more importantly what is your premise for caring about the count of inboud links?

I mean the linkjuice just flows around the site, like a pool of water that is circulating, it still all stays in the pool. The only outlet for link juice to flow out is outbound links.

Anyone else having problems with yahoo?? Scrapebox is returning no results for queries with link:

Hi,
I have been here for a few months reading and reading as I have seen, the best way to learn is to keep reading and when you feel confident enough you start to test. However I find out that there are some thing missed out or not mentioned between the lines that y I decided to ask.

-When scraping with free proxies and a slow internet connection, google never seems to harvest anything, results only come from yahoo. Why?

-How relevant should your comment/backlinks/forum profiles and anchor text really be to your niche/keyword/market? hope that makes sense.

-Say i have 10k AA blog list, how many times can/should blast that list to the same web 2.0, Articles. Just thinking of the penalties if any posting to the same blog twice. But i assume if the comments are different at the different times of commenting/posting, it wouldn't matter.

-do forum profiles get blasted by SB, or just the anchor text in profile signature? hope that makes sense.

-In footprint/custom footprint. I have a major misunderstanding with what goes where.say i have a custom footprint like:

"powered by vBulletin" "In order to proceed, you must agree with the following rules"

Would I write that In the custom footprint box, the fill in my keywords? or do I put the custom footprint in the keyword area with the keyword next to it? something like:

"powered by vBulletin" "In order to proceed, you must agree with the following rules" "Keyword"

-Also, When I scrape/harvest with keywords, some or most of the returned results have no connection to the keyword or niche. Why is this the case.

Pls will appreciate some assistance, I'm reading really, just need some answers on a few things

Thanx a bunch

Anyone Pls.

Check if your radio button is enabled to harvest from google, also you can select from what country to harvest. .com, .uk, .de (you can put there more).
Test your proxies if they are alive. Also check if without proxies you can harvest. Change the footprint, try something simple like in the scrapebox tutorials.

-How relevant should your comment/backlinks/forum profiles and anchor text really be to your niche/keyword/market? hope that makes sense.
You are free to do it as you wanted. Mix it up if you ask me.

-Say i have 10k AA blog list, how many times can/should blast that list to the same web 2.0, Articles. Just thinking of the penalties if any posting to the same blog twice. But i assume if the comments are different at the different times of commenting/posting, it wouldn't matter.
Although I don't see much value to blast the same list on same properties more than once, let's say that you could blast twice with different anchor texts and comments...
Just go over and blast other links you have. Reblast failed ones and so on.

-do forum profiles get blasted by SB, or just the anchor text in profile signature? hope that makes sense.
No it doesn't.
Man, you think to much.. IMHO
Did you seen anyone one BHW, or any seo site/forum talking about something like this...

-In footprint/custom footprint. I have a major misunderstanding with what goes where.say i have a custom footprint like:

Have you watched any scrapebox tutorial?

Now you are pissing me off.
Get the heck out on google and learn how google operator work. Go to advanced search and see for yourself.
You need to learn to fish for yourself.

I don't see that you have read any thread on this forum on how to use scrapebox.
Go and do it now!

Well, I thought it would be a good thing to make it more immune to such sites - running through the malware check takes considerable time...

I can't speak for Sweetfunny, but I don't think it would be of a use to save the urls. Sweetfunny can't take the malware off the site, and Google already maintains the malware information so no need to reinvent the wheel.

Anyone else having problems with yahoo?? Scrapebox is returning no results for queries with link:

Its not going to, its not supposed to. Scrapebox now scrapes yahoos front end. If you go to yahoo.com and try to use the link: or site: operators it will shunt you off to yahoo site explorer which is completely different. So scrapebox just scrapes yahoo, not site explorer. So site: and link: don't work with the yahoo harvester.

You can use the backlink checker addon and it will scrape yahoo site explorer. Which is the equivalent of what used to be the link: operator before yahoo shut down the API, although the API was less then accurate.

Or get creative and use backlink checker, link extractor, and some of the manage lists features

Thanks a lot, i have watched lots of youtube tutorials, and even bought advanced tuts so i wouldnt ask anything stupid, loopline says something then rintindy says something similar but a bit different, when i use some technics i can scrape and with others i cant.

your answers really cleared up a few things nobody seems to think of. Many blessing to you and bhw

Shhh your giving away the secrets! lol Your right though, I don't use just 1 method, combos give best results. After all scrapebox its self isn't really a tool, its a suite of tools.

Haha there is sooo much to do with it. I really fits the iceberg analogy. Just yesterday I found out a way to extract all the pages of a website without the use backlink checker or link extractor or even site: modifiers
