It you have bad proxies, it could be trying to find a proxy that works. Try it without proxies. Also you can try turning the connections down, as your physical resources may not be able to handle what your asking it to do. So try connections at 5 and then try it without proxies.

I don't know why google has reasons to ban faster IPs that perform search queries using advanced operators, but since I get zero results in scrapexbox that doesn't appear to be the problem. I would get at least few before the IP gets banned! And I repeat, the same proxies produce results outside of scrapebox.

This footprint "inurl:showthread | inurl:topic | inurl:viewthread | inurl:viewtopic site:forum.xda-developers.con" produces 6,230,000 in google. Could you test it in your scrapebox with private proxies and see if you get any results?
All the results you would get should have "showthread" in url and should be from the site forum.xda-developers.con. Replace "con" (Damn BHW doesn't even let me to type C-O-M).

It has to be your proxies. Bear in mind that other people can be using the proxies too, if they are public and that they could have the ip banned before you even get a chance to use it.

I don't really know, but I know the flooding is bad, real bad. Last I knew it hadn't made it into the buildings, but the internet connection might as well be tin cans and strings.

I would give it 1-2 days, maybe longer depending on how bad it plays out. We will have to wait and see. In the 1.5 years I have used scrapebox they have never been as limited as they are now, you just can't control acts of God.

Ok, the problem might be the proxies, but they are not blocked by google. I've tested that numerous times! Maybe google has some mechanism that can tell apart normal queries run behind proxies and automated queries run behind proxies. Perhaps sweetfunny could investigate this...
 
Sweetfunny I sniffed my traffic through wireshark and I found out that:

When I'm harvesting without proxies a normal HTTP GET request is performed, however when I use proxies the host is added to the request URI, so the full request URI includes the host two times!

Might that be a coding mistake of yours?

It has to be your proxies. Bear in mind that other people can be using the proxies too, if they are public and that they could have the ip banned before you even get a chance to use it.




I don't really know, but I know the flooding is bad, real bad. Last I knew it hadn't made it into the buildings, but the internet connection might as well be tin cans and strings.

I would give it 1-2 days, maybe longer depending on how bad it plays out. We will have to wait and see. In the 1.5 years I have used scrapebox they have never been as limited as they are now, you just can't control acts of God.

I have just been watching this video of yours: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3SzAFBEKew But I am stuck on the uploading the XML file part. I have got godaddy hosting and an FTP thing on it but not sure how to upload the file to a domain using it. I was wondering if you could clarify please?

Well you would probably need to contact go daddy. But with most hosts if you have a website www.yoursite.com

hosted with them you have a username and password to login to your control panel. "genereally" your user and pass for your ftp to your domain would be the same. So just go grab filezilla ftp client and plug in

ftp.yoursite.com

then your user and pass and port 21.

Then just upload it to the directory you want.


Alternatively you could log into your control panel for your site and use the file manager to upload it, which is likely easier.
 
you can upload the rss file on any web server. i run a sb blast service on fiverr and i upload the rss files on my own web server and then ping them

Scrapebox loads each search results page, similar to you would in a browser, and reads the html and pulls out the results. It is easy enough to emulate a browser and Google would not be able to tell the difference.

Whats more is, its working fine for the rest of the world, but no for you. Which would mean its fine on your end. I have half a dozen servers running scrapebox from locations around the world. It works fine on all of them.

Google also has different ip ban rules/timeouts for various Google functions.

Have you tried proxies from different sources, like I advised before? Try changing up your query. The pipe key is the same as OR and you have a lot of them in there. If you only want the ones with showthread, or whtaever it is, in it just use that and dump the rest. I have found that when you use more two OR tags (and your using 3) that Google doesn't like it. I don't have a hard fast rule on that, but sometimes Google is just grumpy. :)

One of the best tools on the market for IM by far. Doing a 20k blast and I'm at 50% success with only 3 proxies. Sweetfunny you should make a program for forums to go head up with xrumer. I know you got the skills!

Only AOL search engine and Yahoo, why isn't google working for me?
can someone give me the quick rundown on getting links harvested from google please, i dont know what Im doing wrong! :(
edit, im using fresh working proxies so it's not that.

I screwed up and I am hoping you can help. I started to do the rss bit to get some links indexed. I ran everything and uploaded all the .x files to a domain I do not care about but now I have a problem.

I do not have a list of all the files like mydomain.com/myfile.xml
mydomain.com/myfile-1.xml

Is there an easy way to generate one besides typing out a text file by hand?
