I never complained about it because I never thought it was a big deal.. just a bit of flash to entertain the user.. who stares at their SB while they are scraping anyway?

So I kept having a weird problem while running SB. I would get the error message that windows was increasing the size of virtual ram and then after a while I would crash.
The pc I run SB on kinda sucks. Dell Dimension 4550 with 700mb of ram which isn't much.
So I used this method of a USB thumb drive as virtual ram and so far its working out ok I guess. The machine feels a bit more responsive and no virtual memory message yet.
my question for the gurus:
is there a way to force SB to take greater advantage of this new found ram? The indicator at the bottom of SB shows a memory load of 66% and a 3-18% cpu. It seems kinda high to me for one program?

Go to task manager>Processes.
Right click on scrapebox.exe > set priority > high (Or you can go for realtime as well)

Scrapebox can get pretty intensive and given your OS 700mb of ram isn't much. I mean my windows 7 takes twice that just to run idle. I assume you are running XP, but still, I have single instances of scrapebox that can use the full 2GB of ram, its a powerful program. I max out 8 core (hyper threaded at 16 cores) servers with it.
(multiple instances).

Thanks for this it seems to be making things run much much smoother. also I noticed a difference when reducing blogs to comment on file size from 1 million to 100k.
I dont think there is a big difference between the high setting and the real time setting.

I sent a few emails today about a lic transfer. I switched my windows into a better pc. I can't find my activation code in my paypal account. I know I paid you though right? I even check the 2 accounts my wife has. Nothing.
I am willing to give you my name,ip or anything else that helps. Even if you can tell me what email I paid with that gives me somewhere to look. Any help would be appreciated. I got some fresh private proxies a newer pc and a bit more ram and no scrapebox. I feel like the fat good at the school dance in a $500 suit.

Bought SB yesterday. I've looked at video by loopline and checked out the Q&A on the SB forum to see if there was something else I was suppose to do to activate the tool. I followed the instructions found on the download page and reviewed them again with the help of the video to make sure I did everything that was needed. The tool is still waiting to be activated. I've checked my email(s) multiple times, including the spam folders and haven't found anything. I emailed customer service about 4 hrs ago and haven't heard back. Has anyone had to wait more than 24hrs just to get their SB activated? Or had to wait this long to hear anything back? Maybe they're just really busy...
i bought it 2 days ago ang activation takes place in less than an hour.
I've bought it few days ago, need to go thru the videos and learn it!!
Did you get an activation code emailed to you? I just want to make sure I'm not missing somethng regarding activation, I paid yesterday morning but havent received anything from them, just the PayPal receipt.

Welll I can say they are really busy. They are working very hard on scrapeboard the new forum tool, so they can launch it, and they are updating scrapebox and then the normal other million things that goes with it.
Although I have never heard of it taking over 24 hours to get a license activated. Did you submit it with all of the correct info? If you still haven't got it activated, you could try submitting it again, just to make sure you didn't accidentally put in the wrong info the first time or something. Stuff happens.
Also make sure you close it down and reopen it, it only tries to activate its self upon launch.
No there is no emailed activation code. Scrapebox is manually actuated for various reasons. It connects to an activation server each time it launches and authorizes.

Neumonyx and letterman could you send an email here http://www.scrapebox.com/contact-us and include your BHW username and purchase details and I'll let you know exactly what's wrong.

OK it was my fault I didnt get activated, I must have missed the go back to vendor link after I paid with PayPal, I had a search and found that you have to download, install and click request activation then enter the PayPal email and PayPal transaction ID, did that this morning and 30 mins later it was activated. Probably an auto email after payment with setup instructions could prevent confusion and emails to support.
