CHECK how many half-open connections you have allowed in your windows. it's 10 in sp3 for default


my question:

I have 30 files of 1 milion URLS. How can I compare them and delete duplicate urls between them? i really need to do this. I can use bash a little got linux, mac and windows.

You can use the import and compare lists feature to either remove them on the url level or the domain level.

my biggest problem i this is geography location, and proxy contries, is far away.

Your very welcome mate, glad to help. A solution to that would be to get proxies and a server to run sbox on that are close to each other. Assuming that you want to go into a server. Anyway, good luck.

Is it possible to install Scrapebox on my laptop AND PC?
Because I do IM frequently at my home's PC and loaned laptop (which I will be returning it soon). So is scrapebox able to be installed on PC AND laptop?

Yes. You can only have 1 license installed on 1 machine at a time. You are allowed 1 transfer per month. So if you want to use it on both at the same time or go back and forth then you would need to buy 2 licenses.

Every time I close and then reopen SB the crashdump tries to load.

I uninstalled the Crashdump addon and SB still is trying to "Process Crash Dump" on login.

It takes a full 10 min for SB to open.

How do I stop this?

Delete the whole scrapebox install and just reinstall it.

All you have to do to transfer your license to another computer is to download a fresh copy of scrapebox, activate it, and then choose the "Request License Transfer" option. You can do it once per month for free :3

With 10 proxies I harvested about 3 million URL's in 3-4 hours with roughly 3,000 keywords. I thought it was weird that I was not banned but I definitely wasn't.

Holy hell fella, I hope that wasn't while using my proxies? I think that's a bit nuts and to me seems like abuse, good way to get IP's banned I think.

yahoo doesnt require you to use proxies. just harvested 20gb during the night using my servers ip

just download a new copy onto your new pc
request a transfer usualy they allow it once
per month. i was lucky to get it 3 times in one
month due to

1- pc crash
2- mcafee expired so i reformatted for a new install
3- pc crashed again.

i must admit sweet n funny understood my situation via
email and was great with it. full marks on support

I've also come across google showing many indexed pages for a domain and then scrapebox not returning many when using the site: command.
The solution was to use another proxy..

There's a video on footprints there, I think loopline also has trackbacks covered in one of the other videos there as well. Either way the vids are worth watching.

Free tip about trackbacks - it took me a bit of time to get the hang of it, and something I've noticed as a fairly common error is to transpose or otherwise hose the two files that the trackbacks module uses - either to get them backwards, or to enter incorrect data in each.
