well if the site is to new, you run a very very good chance of being sandboxed... trust me.
im not sure if this would be good for that niche. maybe if you found specific blogs related to yours. but mass commenting to blogs that have nothing to do with anything, i just dont see it.
maybe if you found really active blogs and left GOOD comments.
id think this would be done better by hand though.
if you are looking to get higher in the search engines, but id think your entertainment stuff might be more news stuff?? which will be old in a weeks time and no need to rank for it??

Same here. I had an Active X popup while commenting with scrapebox. My cat sat on my keyboard and selected "Yes"... and I was infected with some shit virus :lame:
Sure, throw the cat under the bus, it's always the cat's fault isn't it. just kidding...

but seriously boys and girls (not directed at anyone in particular, but c'mon for God's sake for those of you who don't take it reasonably seriously) -

there are tonnes of tips and guides around here about security and hardening of your digital fortress. I'm not even going to try to do a recap/overview here as it isn't directly related to sbox and, honestly, I don't have the time or the inclination.

But if you are blackhatting or automating or running crap you've download from the internets or are just surfing midget porn sites, or wtf ever other twisted crap floats your boat, and you haven't batttened down the hatches, you are in for a world of digital butthurt.

@dillinger - sbox isn't *just* about mass blasting comments automagically to a tonne of blogs (yeah it can do that, and do it quite well, but there's a lot more it can do). There is a potential downside to using any tool on a site if you don't use it intelligently.

For your purposes, you could use a mix of ScrapeBox's addons to identify relevant, high PR and/or high Alexa targets that would be of interest. Then you could manually post comments to just those.

Or you could trackback sites in your niche.

Or you could ping relevant targets meeting certain criteria with referrer hits from your site.

There's a lot of possibilities.

For extra security, I turned off activex support in IE, seems to work. I'll go and blast a couple 100k blogs see what happens

hey
if I buy and pay from the scrapebox bhw page will I have to contact or wait for someone to send me the software? or will I get instantly the download link via e-mail?

another question is can I use the program without proxies? I mean I could change my ip address by restarting the modem. does it work?

how many proxies does sb need to run properly?

i think the standard, correct me if im wrong, but 10.

and thanks to gregs for outing his love for midget porn.
but seriously tho, the computer i use for sb is used just for this stuff.

Having a hard time scraping more that around 2000 urls .

I see people talking about how many post they scrape and so I tried to scrape a ton to see if it would work... Here is what I did. I picked a keyword group that has tons of sites... I used words like diet,fitness,workout...

I ran them thru the scraper and removed the dups... Then I reloaded them back into the keywords to be scraped and let it run for about 2 hours...

This got a lot more keywords...

Then I ran the harvester and got like 25k urls scraped.. Then I removed the dups and was left with 926...

Now with a keyword like diet and such, I would have thought that I would have a crap load of different urls...

So what the hell am I doing wrong... :)

^^ ummm honestly, i THINK that people dont give a fudge what the keywords are really.
ive been doing the same thing. getting between 200 to 1000 urls and posting.

correct my thinking here, but...
if you are scraping
"diet"
what is the use to scrape for
"low fat diet"
"diet" is going to net you the results that a longer keyword would
i can see if you were looking for one VERY SPECIFIC type of blog.
but..
from what i have seen, people dont give a poop.
they just want a link. they get big lists of urls and then start weeding out
the lower PR's.
thought being a link is a link!

10 proxies isn't gonna get you very far at all if you're going to get serious about sbox

and anyone who is running a computer attached to the internet without proper security in place is an idiot

Is anybody else getting the controlsocket abort exception error? I seem to get it more and more frequently now tothe point where I can't leave my machine to post unattended.

If there is any fix or change in computer settings that will help with this I would be grateful for any help.

Getting this error too many times now. Does anyone have any idea about how I can fix this?

I was just using those keywords to make sure there were plenty of blogs out there to get as many urls as possible...

I guess the key is to dump more varied keywords into there and see if you get more urls... :)

anyone else get the error "we encontored an error and have to abort posting"? no ideia why was posting my way on thounsands of blogs and now i always get stuck on this...

Stupid question : How do I go about checking a custom footprint againt a list of URl already in the Harvested Url Section. Is it even possible ?.

I have a list of 1000 Blogs and I want to run the footprint "
gimme a blog inurl:.com inurl:wp-signup" on it for example.
