I bought ScrapeBox around a month ago. Didn't use it THAT much yet - trying to do the slow way people suggest, commenting for LW sites, etc. So far it's giving me some impressive results. Going to escalate even further =)

This program is worth every cent and it's impressive how many updates and new features it constantly gets. Fully endorsed and congrats to Sweetfunny for pulling this out!

My SB is hanging no matter what, I can fast post with poor results simply because I dont have my own proxies (my fault) but then in slow commenter it submits one links then hangs and doesnt start up again.

Then when checking pagerank I get the first option checked then it hangs again. I dont know what up>>>>

You mentioned not having your own proxies - are you at least using the harvested proxies that sbox can find for you? And testing them after harvesting them?

Also - have you updated to the most current version of sbox?

Oh and with a Thanks count like you have I expect a thanks for this reply (is joke - I just always enjoy when the Thanks count gets so fockered up; either that or you are a very grateful person).

I have the latest update.

I take every precaution when posting, removing duplicates, using the add ons to check if sites are alive, if they are captcha'd, etc etc then I go to post, I get less then 10% through fast poster (undertandable) but then slow poster just freezes. Every time, same with PR checker.

I dont know what it could possibly be.

also my multi threaded harvester never pulls anything from google, which is frustrating to say the least.

That is strange.

A few best guesses for you to check out:
1 - run ccleaner on your pc (if you don't already, you should run this periodically anyway; and sweetfunny has mentioned it clearing up some weird anomalies for other users)
2 - roll the mouse over the menus when it seems to be "locked up" (I think it was bobbys who identified this little hack, I think I also saw SebastianJu mention it as helping sometimes)
3 - using a router? maybe flood protection on the router...just a guess...

HTML 2 RSS Question

I've checked this thread, and I've watch the Video @ the site and on YouTube. Can Scrape take URL's and convert them to RSS?

If not... beside html2rss.com, what software is best? html2rss.com is a slow painful process. Thanks

It's probably your settings. I was having similiar issues so I sent sweetfunny a screencast. She was able to see that my settings were all jacked and helped me figure out what would work best.

On a related note, when is scrapebox going to get it's own forum? I know the answer to some of my questions are probably in this mega thread but I'll be damned if I have the time to search through it all to find them!

I'm dealing with the same problem. Just purchased it and it keeps crashing on that mode. I'll try others for now, as I believe Sweetfunny is on top of it.

Now, some questions:

- Is the content of the blog we comment important? In other words... if I have a site about dog training, does it matter if I'm commenting on a computer's blog? Or only the page rank counts?

- What's best: to get few accepted comments with the anchor text = keywords or many accepted comments with fake real names?

- I saw a video about Paul and Angela's method and I didn't get it. Even if the forum PR is 7 or 8, will my profile page get the same page rank? I mean... is it really a good method?

Just purchased SB and exciting to use it to check PR on all the inner pages of domains. I am sure it will be a nice compliment to xrumer which I am currently using.

If u have a list from the page, that u like to check, its ok, but SB didn't check the innerpages, only the sites, that you give him

It can check either the domain PR or the URL PR.

I noticed a .11 release just today with a note on it about fixing some very isolated BE URL's causing crashes - maybe that's what you and run-on-top are experiencing?

The more relevant the target site is to your site, the better results you will get overall. And the "higher quality" target sites you drop backlinks on, the better your backlinks will "score".

Your profile page won't get the same PR as the forum PR, but it will benefit overall from getting onto higher quality sites.

I have this problem with the newest 1.14.11 version.

Has some the 1.14.9 version (only scrapebox.exe should be enough, i think), i forgot to back it up. I need it cause i have to finish some BE blasts.

Well then as far as BE, I don't know why you and run-on-top are getting crashes. BE is a nightmare to work with if that makes you feel any better lol.

As far as anchor text and quantity of comments, personally my opinion these days is its better to cast a wide net when harvesting, then run analyses (PR check, Alexa check, even manual review of URL's when I have time) to winnow down the targets to really quality sites. So I go after less sites than I used to, but the quality seems to net better results.

Blast those quality sites with well-spun comments (side note to anyone who says don't spin your comments - put down the crackpipe).

You may see a lower success rate - and I stress may, "quality" targets sometimes are more locked-down, but sometimes not.

Sorry I don't have it, but what version is the scrapebox.exe.bak you have? Might be worth looking at.
