I have a question. If I run the PR-Checker, what does N/A mean? Does the site not have any pagerank or did scrapebox not get the information? I mean is there a difference between pagerank 0 and N/A?

Running into a problem after updating this morning. I'm scraping Movable type blogs, and during the scrape it throws an Unexpected error and crashes

"Cannot create file f:\1.txt, the device is not ready".

Why are you writing to the F drive anyway?

ScrapeBox will only write to it's own directory nowhere else unless you tell it to by saving a file to the location.

Edit: Seems a problem with .5 with some test code left over. Please roll back to .4 by renaming scrapebox.exe.bak to scrapebox.exe

Just purchased scapebox, was activated within 5 minutes. Now to find some working proxies.

Did you tried to repost on the unsuccessful ones? But maybe some blogs have lists of public proxies and ban them.

Do you mean use the slow poster method in ScrapeBox?

Oh and thanks, you reminded me of the other suspicion I have about public proxies which is that akismet catches on to them quicker and adds them to the black hole.

When bulk checking pr, i then export PR Urls as .txt. When importing back the PR is not showing even its in the file (http://xxxx.com|5)

Do we have to recheck PR on saved files that included PR, every time we load these ??

Also when exporting PR url list to .csv or .xls, these file formats cannot be imported back to sbox, is this supposed to be like this?

It will be as effective as your targetting, your comments, and your proxies are. I was on 5mbps and it was very effective. Now I'm on 10mbps and it will be twice as effective lol. You can always throttle down the app via the Settings menu too. But its a lightweight little beast - amazing that it does all it does @ only 1.2MB app size.

Moving to a different workstation or reinstalling/upgrading your OS - the development team has been very responsive here and that won't be a problem. You'll just have to ping them and wait to get reactivated, but Sweetfunny et al. are VERY responsive. Just look thru this thread for the evidence of that.

You can transfer "Alive" websites back to ScrapeBox, or save them to disk.

Well, I was playing with it few min and all I have to say; this is a great tools out there! I didn't start posting but I saw the function its better than any other tools out there. Good work man

It's a great software dont get me wrong i had one version that posted 36k sucessful links and 3k stuck on blogs. The newer versions are so great with a dedicated server thats the only downfall for me. after 14k on a list of 160k sites it freezes up if you could take a look at that it would be great for the next upgrade lol if i catch another update that posts great with dedi's i wont upgrade again lol!

@n8800 - if it locks up and throws a dialog @ you about sending an error report, send it

I blew that off for awhile, thinking it was the same standard micro$oft crash dialog that I've gotten kinda numb to, but the ScrapeBox crash reporter is different - it sends sweetfunny helpful info (like crash logs i think).

Also, if you aren't getting that crash dialog, you may still have some crashdump files that the dev team could use to look into this - look in the folder where ScrapeBox lives and look for files named crash*.*. Contact support (the link is in sweetfunny's sig) and see if they could use those too.

The app is surprisignly stable considering how often its updated, but I've had it lock up a few times too. It's a Winblows app after all lol. Overall its really stable for a BH app running on the M$FT foundation.

Argh - that blows if hidemyip is not actually hiding IP's whilst using ScrapeBox. I know SB isn't on their "apps we support list", but still....I thought it worked right when I tested hmip with sb....but that was a couple months ago.

Question for you:

is it always not hiding your IP whilst using scrapebox, or it during hidemy IP's IP change that localhost is being exposed? I know their IP change takes up to a minute to do its stuff under the hood.

It is always not hiding. I tried in Hide MY IP with legacy mode, and witout, played around with many settings.
In Scrapebox i have tried with normal poster and slow poster, but all still show normal ip.

I did some post to my own blogs and the IP shown in the comment is the same everytime.

The only way i think this can work is if SweetFunny put a check box somewhere to have the option to use connection settings in IE, that should solve the problem. I know it will because that option makes it work for BMD.

If not then i guess i am in the market for some proxies....

Ah the through commenting is awesome I am literally getting only 14 failed posts out of an over 1k run! And all the sites I checked it failed on were either dead or had comments recently disabled/ closed!

Scrapebox is open and harvesting and I try to open it again by clicking scrapebox.exe. New scrapebox pops up then I get error: "we tried to connect to 3 different server, but failed. It looks like something is blocking". Why would second thread be blocked when first thread opened fine and is working?
Vista, firefox, public proxies, no firewall.

@broker - r u running antivira antivirus? I got the same error msg on a new PC I just built, uninstalled avira and installed kaspersky, and no more error........1st time I ever seen that error msg from ScrapeBox, and I've run 2 instances of it on a single machine before
