Try using the slow poster only, leave proxies blank

I was under the impression that Hide My Ip is hiding the IP's but after checking the comments and after doing some test post using both fast and slow poster i noticed that it is NOT hiding the IP--- Shit

It seems ScrapeBox is using local host, if no IP is s[ecified, i which i can tell ScapeBox to use the connection settings in IE or FF because that is where Hide My Ip is changing

Anybode have any other suggestions for Hide My IP with ScrapeBox

Wanted to add the Hide My IP is hiding the IP in BMD, i guess because i have the option to select to use the connection settings specified in IE

Would be great if i can do that in Scrapebox

Is it possible to add new features to scrape suggested keywords from Amazon.com, Shopping.com, and Ebay like what you already did with Google?

Sheesh, talk about setting the bar low! :D

v1.10.4 Uploaded.

The Keyword Scraper now features the following sources:

* Google Suggest
* Google Product Search
* Yahoo Search
* Yahoo Shopping
* YouTube
* Amazon.com
* Bing Search
* Shopping.com
* Ask.com Search

You can of course select "All Sources" and scrape from the lot in one go. Here is a scaled down screenshot:

LoL I was playing around with the outbound link checker and ran into this blog:

http://blog.dashpoint.com/post/Twitter-Conversations-First-Refactoring.aspx

This thing has over 1000+ outbound links ...

Look at this idiot LoL ... this is suppose to be coming from a marketing and SEO company. Kinda off topic but I just want to make sure nobody here is retarded enough to spam a blog like this.

I know that's hard to see but its basically 100's of links spammed in 1 comment... ridiculous ..

hahah that blog got NUKED

Argh - that blows if hidemyip is not actually hiding IP's whilst using ScrapeBox. I know SB isn't on their "apps we support list", but still....I thought it worked right when I tested hmip with sb....but that was a couple months ago.

Question for you:

is it always not hiding your IP whilst using scrapebox, or it during hidemy IP's IP change that localhost is being exposed? I know their IP change takes up to a minute to do its stuff under the hood.

Now Also Available in the Addons.. Alive Checker

This will confirm whether Harvested or Imported lists of URL's are Alive or Dead. No need to update ScrapeBox for this, just go to your Addons menu to fetch the new addon.

How did you do that? Because ScrapeBox doesn't have variable connections for the harvester so setting it to 100 Connections is not possible.

He maybe means the proxy harvester.

I noticed somebody said using public proxies can lead to a worser successrate. So I wondering isnt the proxyhandling the same like in search? So when a proxy isnt working the next proxy is tried? This way public proxies should work the same like bought ones or am I wrong?

Then I have a question about the Harvester. There you can choose Wordpress Blogs or Blogengine Blogs. Or Movable Types. So that are different kind of blogs isnt it? Which means the footprint for finding such blogs is different. Theoretically it could be done all with custom footprints. Right?
So why is there the same optiongroup at the Comment Poster? Do they need different kind of posting process? So wouldnt it be possible to recognize which blog is available and use the right postingprocess? And if it cant be found simply try out the different processes. Maybe one works.

Maybe I misunderstood something but this way someone could build a big list with different blogtypes and can post to them without thinking about options.

Only my thoughts.

By the way... impressive Sweetfunny. Not much girls can code that good... :)

Yes and no. Pretty sure you are correct about the proxy rotation method ScrapeBox uses. But here's the simple reality - public proxies are getting the holy hell pounded out of them by a lot of people doing a lot of different things with them. They have much shorter lifespans then paid proxies. In turn, shared paid proxies have shorter lifespans than private paid proxies.

So if you're doing a significant run of something (like oh, I don't know, scraping half of Bing's index; or commenting on 80,000 different blogs) using public proxies, there's a strong possibility that all of them will die while your attack is running.

Also, public proxies are often slower than private proxies (again, all the other internet douchebags like me are pounding the living crap out of them). So your timeout settings can effect your success rate.

And bottom line, I saw my success rate go from an average of 10-20% successful comments with public proxies to an average of 40-70% with paid proxies.

peace,
gregs.

Running into a problem after updating this morning. I'm scraping Movable type blogs, and during the scrape it throws an Unexpected error and crashes

"Cannot create file f:\1.txt, the device is not ready".

Why are you writing to the F drive anyway?

The "Thorough Comment Mode" does exactly that however only 3 retries. Upon crunching the numbers, i found it wasn't viable to try any more times than this it becomes a negative by abusing the free proxies and killing them faster for such a tiny incremental gain with the odd extra comment 4, 5, 6 etc tries may achieve beyond the 3 tries.

Then I have a question about the Harvester. There you can choose Wordpress Blogs or Blogengine Blogs. Or Movable Types. So that are different kind of blogs isnt it? Which means the footprint for finding such blogs is different. Theoretically it could be done all with custom footprints. Right?

Problem, loading wp-comment-post.php on a BlogEngine or Movable Type will obviously result in a 404 right. Who's to say this 404 wasn't a result of a dead proxy, blog no longer online etc rather than a wrong platform?

What do you propose, try again 10 times with another proxy like your suggestion above? Maybe try another platform? Maybe do both and load another proxy plus another platform?

What if we got the platform right, but the proxy was dead? You could go round in circles with 10 attempts trying to get the right combo of working proxy and platform.

This is obviously not very efficient, a waste of time/bandwidth and running proxies in to the ground when it can be totally avoided.

>And bottom line, I saw my success rate go from an average of 10-20% successful comments with public proxies to an average of 40-70% with paid proxies.

Did you tried to repost on the unsuccessful ones? But maybe some blogs have lists of public proxies and ban them.

It could be possible to look at footprints on that site. But that wouldnt help every time...
I only think it would be a good thing when you can build a big list of blogs that arent all of the same type and use that. It looks to me less obvious than "100 new backlinks from wordpress".

But was only thinking... :)
