Watching the videos... In the meantime i was wondering how often do you guys run this per domain? once a week, once a month?

Awesome that you're watching the videos - lot of good info in them. Sweets is great about activating pretty quickly, and you have just made a very wise investment.

As far as how often - here's gregstereo's free tip o' the day:

Don't overdo it. At first you might be tempted to spam the living frack out of the world because ScrapeBox makes it so easy. I know that's what I did at first lol.

Learn parts of ScrapeBox and apply them over time. There's a hell of a lot this program can do. One fairly new module is the Projects component, which lets you save various settings. That can help you manage your campaigns a lot.

I try not to run a campaign into the same platform (e.g. WordPress or BlogEngine) on the same domain more than once a month. In other words, about 1x/month, I scrape the search engines and then "mass comment" (spam is such an ugly word lol) for one of my autoblogs on each of the buiilt-in platforms (WP, BE, MT). Then the next day I move onto another autoblog and do the same.

Does anyone know why when I use the custom footprint, "Powered by Pligg" I only get around 2k urls in Scrapebox but when I type it into Google search I get millions ..

I must be doing something wrong or is this something to do with the 1k search limitation?

I'm trying to harvest pligg sites. Any suggestions?

Yea, if you're getting 2k url's harvested I'm guessing you're using only 2 keywords correct?

I wasn't using any keywords, just the "Powered by Pligg" footpring.

I hear you - I started out with packetflip and got banned within a few hours lol. They added ScrapeBox to their TOS just a few weeks ago.

I've heard good things about seo-proxies and yourprivateproxy but not used them myself. I can't remember too much about seo-proxies compared to cloakfish - I think they are both run by the same persons - but one is recommended over the other for SB usage. And the persons running them have great reputation on BHW and seem to be "good people" (I spent way too much time in the southern part of the States).

Proxybonanza has provided me very good service.

Hidemyass and hidemyip are both a bit different from the above but they will both work with SB and you might want to consider them.

Mrtornado and proxygo are users here on BHW who offer proxy services that have gotten good reviews from other BH'ers.

I have no affiliations with any of the parties mentioned above beyond being a customer of some of them.

You can adjust the # of simultaneous connections and the timeout setting as you wish, so it ought to work with any kind of internet connectivity. But the slower your connection speed the longer it will take to work its magic.

Yeah, I've been noticing similar things as far as how much comments are out there. And how many more I'm getting on some of my sites.

Hadn't seen that before though with newbs using the sample comments. Come on, people, seriously - put a bit of effort into it.

gregstereo's second free tip o' the day:

Take a look at comments you get on your sites. Then think about how you could use the text from some of those, spin in some synonyms, and voila - you've got yourself some customized comments for SB.

Yes that context menu does need some more options thanks.

If anyone is not activated please let me know. Also please dont send me activations by PM hoping to get activated quicker, because just the opposite happens. When you do that it doesn't get logged in to the system, i don't get an instant alert, it gets buried amongst the dozens of other PM's and gets lost.

The proper way to activate or transfer licenses is setup that way because it's fastest. I normally work 24 hours, and sleep 8 hours.. So if activation doesn't happen right away, you got me during the rare hours i'm asleep.

This question has been answered many times within this thread alone. So the best advice is to give it a whirl and figure it out ;P

I entered the, "Powered by vBulletin" footprint then scraped and came up with 2,480 harvested URL's.

I then entered the same footprint but added 3 general keywords like, computers, technology, animals and came up with 8,943 harvested URL's.

I guess it's all about adding keywords. If you want a big list of "Powered by vBulletin URL's just throw in 20 keywords and get 50-100k URL's.
