Running 1.9.55. SF hasn't posted release notes here for it yet, but it's out there if you click Updates. Sounds and looks like another great set of updates.

Yes indeed, i was so exhausted i uploaded it and went to sleep. The biggest change in v1.9.55 is better regional targeting through the use of a language modifier. This works with the URL Harvester and the Keyword Scraper.

You can add a Host Location modifier in the "Add More Googles" box by appending a plus and 2 letter language parameter.

cool, thanks for the info about the language enhancement - I had noticed it mentioned in the update dialog and was wondering what it entailed.

really looking forward to playing with that feature. thanks again for all your hard work and dedication!

wow who has been going crazy with proxybonanza- all of my shared proxies are getting blocked by google :(

Sweet!!!! This is AWESOME update.. I have customers in Germany and other non-english countries.. You have just saved me a Whole lot of time :)

Purchased. What a fine piece of kit! A real developer that posts a change log.... nice.

I hear you about the bandwidth costs. What are you using for scraping the search engines - free proxies or paid proxies? I found that using free proxies for the scraping got me decent results and saved some on bandwidth. Not sure about the other symptoms you describe about after scraping, I do so much other crap on my primary workstation all day I usuallly reboot it once a day or so any way. Cuts down on compaints from the other user of the machine lol.

Hidemyass has a list of free proxies, I'm testing their pro VPN service now anyway, maybe if you use their list of free proxies for scraping (or even mix some in with your proxybonanza proxies when commenting) you can save some $$.

Thanks Greg, I've been using the paid proxies for scraping and the commenting. Could be why I'm flying through bandwidth. I had asked Proxybonaza if they have more options for bandwidth as far as proxies go. and only response was pretty much 1$ per 1gig or I could get something like 169 proxies at 100gigs of bandwidth Per month.

I'm about to do the 99$ per month one since I've had such great results using those proxies and scrapebox. Unless someone can recommend a cheaper option? :)

I'm using yourprivateproxy.com - $30 for 10 proxies with unlimited bandwith - owner is a member here - mrtornado - hope this helps....

I have a serious problem at scrapebox. Indeed this is a bug.

I have main submitted list around 15mb. This file contains 180k urls. I have another list which i completed submitting. This list contains 10k urls. Now i imported 10k list and added to 180k list. When i import and compare the list with 15mb it only removes 407 urls (but 9k~ duplicate urls are still at scrapebox). I manually checked remaining ones with 15mb main list and all of them are staying there. So there is a bug at import and compare list function. It does not remove every duplicate ones.

I can send the files to you Sweetfunny.

Yes sure, please upload them to somewhere like Mediafire/Rapidshare and PM me the link and i'll take a look.

Not sure if anybody has mentioned this yet but it would be really cool if you could add an outbound link checker. You could use this to analyze site.domain.com data to find a comment page with the least qty of outbound links to add your comment to. (anybody know of anything that does this already?)

Also, some sort of detection to let you know what blog type each result is so you can separate results to appropriate type when using the poster.

Edit: Also a bug i picked up is that the PR checker stops when it encounters an invalid URL (says pr checking is complete). Can it be modified to simply pass over invalid urls and not stop working?

I really like proxybonanza overall, though I think their shared proxies might be getting a bit....pounded....by users right now based on some other posts here.

It sounds like mrtornado offers a really good proxy service (he's a member here, someone else on this thread mentions him and I've seen good reviews in the prox threads).

I've also been thinking about subscribing to proxygo's daily proxy list (he's the admin @ proxiecentral and has a thread in the proxies for sale forum here). Good reviews for his service as well.

Finally, I've seen a big improvement in the scraped proxies since SF added new sources to Scrapebox. I know s/he has gotten a lot of flak about the quality of the free proxy scraper, and has really worked on improving a feature that was just a bonus really in the early iterations. So before you change plans or get another provider you might want to give it one more go.

Make sure you're running latest version of SB, then try harvesting free proxies from ALL sources (make sure you pick that before harvesting) and use the Test Proxies button after harvesting. I'm getting a bunch more good proxies now. And with the IP test that SB does, you can be pretty sure they aren't leaking your IP.

Then I use harvested proxies to scrape the search engines, then either use my paid or a mix of paid and harvested for my posting. I think the harvesting of the search engines really chews up a lot of bandwidth (just an educated guess based on some testing I've done).

I think that would be a cheaper option for you and definitely worth a test. I'm still getting pretty good results with my PB proxies, but I would like to be able to rotate proxies periodically from the ones they assigned me so I don't burn out what I have.

peace,
gregstereo

p.s./edit - thanks again to sweetfunny for more great updates, and for making the proxy harvester even better. I know it took some blood, sweat and tears, but I was glad to see your post yesterday about being tired and going to sleep. I was beginning to wonder if you ever slept lol.

I recently purchased SC and am very impressed with the software piece.

I got a chance to play with it for a little while and i got a suggestion...

It would be very useful if i was able to do multiple tasks in the background mode, for example i am harvesting urls and while i am harvesting urls i would like to be able to compose a comments or sorting other things out ...Maybe there is a way to do it but i can't seem to figure it out.

Mulithread PR checker would be pretty sweet. Checking PR on a list over 5k can take some serious time ... ;)

Nah silly idea, who would put that in a tool? :D

v1.9.58 Uploaded
* Multi-Threaded PageRank Checker checks up to 100 URL's per Second.
* Fixed: Bug in Compare Function.

YAY, I was waiting for that also :biggthump

Let me know how it goes, i just checked a 10k list in around 30 minutes.

Also just a reminder, it's a "very" good idea to use the Cloud Blacklist feature if you are not using it by downloading the latest cloud updates and having "Use Blacklists (local and cloud)" ticked.

I've just added several domains with trojan downloaders submitted by a user, also domains that have filed spam complaints and one BlogEngine which crashes ScrapeBox (it crashes Firefox & Explorer also).

OMG ... This is a GREAT update. PR checker was flying... completed in 6 seconds ....

Only thing I wonder, is there any easy way to track the PR of the sites that you place comments on?

HAHA. Scrapebox is awesome. I literally paid for it 1 hour ago, and have just finished my first comment posting on it. This thing is impressive. I have never used any comment poster or anything like this before. I am a total noob at this, and this was pretty darn straightforward. Nice work!

I have it checked, but I downloaded the list out of curiosity. It says it added 14 total urls, but when I check in my /blacklist folder and open the test file their are only 4 listed.

Am I missing something?
