Can anyone tell me how large is the ScrapeBox download file? I'm thinking about buying it, but if the file is too large for my current, tragically slow connection I will have to postpone the purchase until I get something faster. Are there any video tutorials inside?

The latest version is 1.1MB zipped. That's about 1/4th the size of a regular mp3 file.

If your connection is slow I would be more worried about how long harvesting + posting comments would take.

How slow are we talking? There are no video tutorials included but Sweetfunny has posted a few on his youtube account. You might need to look further up the page.

Is there an updated list of everything scrapebox will do?

I know a lot of added functionality since the thread has started and I dont want to read all 20 pages

Try the Screenshots for some of the things, it's been a few days since i updated it so there's the Email Scraper and Names Generator for instance not added yet.

I mean , example of list :

list of name :
cars
bikes
4x4

list of url :
www.cars.cop
www.bikes.cop
www.4x4.cop

then do a rotate for cars on the name list for url one :

list of name :
{cars|auto|ford}
bikes
4x4

You can do this with "Link Lock" mode, just add the same URL multiple times in your Websites file then place different anchors in the Names file for example:

In your Websites:

car.com
car.com
car.com

In your Names:

Cars
Auto
Ford

Then each anchor will have approx 33% distribution on the car.com URL.

But here are 2 request feature I would love to have:

- Using Yahoo link explorer/Backlinkwatch to get all your competition links and then a tool to check which of those sites allow blog comments. This will BOOST THE SUCCESS RATE TO ALMOST 90%.

This would make it the PERFECT blog commenting tool ever!!

Give this a try:

Wordpress blogs you can comment on, that are linking to BHW. Just replace BHW with your competition.

Is it possible check PR before transferring the scraped link to the result box.
So lets say only page with min PR of 4 get added to the results box.
Or would this slow down scraping results to much?

To only harvest URL's with a certain PR means you have to lookup the PageRank of every single URL anyhow, so you would get blocked way quicker doing both. Scraping the lot, then checking them in the tool means you can add new IP's if you get blocked and that sort of thing.

If it was automatic, then people who did want PR N/A and PR 0 would want a feature not to remove them lol. That's why everyone can export URL's between whatever PR values you want.

It's very small, most screenshots people send me when having problems are bigger than the program itself.

Also yes there's video's with the online instruction guide.

I just buy scrapperbox i want to ask why scrapebox only limit 1000 per search url, any chance to get more url in harvesting feature ?

Try Searching This:

Results 1 - 10 of about 647,000,000 for test
Right? But you can't get more than 1000 results, try it yourself you will see what I mean.

Thanks young guys maybe i missunderstood sweetfunny post about scrapebox using yahoo api that pull 5000 url per ip, but i hope maybe we can add .tld filter like serpscraper or maybe multiple footprint like urlscraper, but scrapebox more faster than i even think.

Actually you can filter .tld yourself by selecting the harvester: "site:.edu" for example

1) I scraped about 500 wordpress blogs. I scraped some free proxies. When I try to post comments I got a hitrate of 0/500. Am I doing something wrong here?

2) Also I can't do trackbacks ... I scrape wordpress blogs with "You can leave a response, or trackback" ... than I transfer them to the blog list ... next I click on trackbacks. When I click on start trackbacks it keeps asking: Please load websites and blog list & I already have them loaded I think

Ye i know that but its painfull to change it one by one, maybe to make it easy i hope scrapebox can add multiple footprint feature, i use urlscraper but its to slow in this tool you can add many footprint in one place so when the tools already finish scrape from footprint number one it will crape the next footprint it will make it easier when i scrape search engine
