waiting for Christmas or new year coupon maybe xD
Don't hold your breath. :)

1 - Scrapebox is on Christmas/Black Friday/New Years special year round, its about $250 under priced daily.

2 - Scrapebox isn't a big fan of the promos. They tried some in the past but it created more of a hassle and customer service work then it did sales. So they went a different route. Because in the past the promos were linked with the plugins - because again scrapebox is already inexpensive, so you can't really take anything off the core price.

so now they just streamlined it and they have scrapebox at the dirt cheap price all day every day and then they have plugin bundles that include the first 5 plugins, then another plugin thats available but not on the site that includes the first 5 plugins and then also the metrics checker plugin.

I suspect they will offer a plugin bundle that includes the new email plugin as well. But I don't know, I haven't asked about that one yet.

This is actually a very good answer, thanks.

I have no issue with informed, educated answers that add value and aid members.

The problem I had was with your first reply to me, which was loaded with unhelpful sarcasm. So as soon as you mentioned (in your first reply), "Also every other tool out there is pretty limited, if you want majestic, because you will have to buy it. So I guess the whole worlds programs are limited, just don't buy anything." - then I had to point out the error of this statement - I've just proved to you that there is an online tool which already incorporates majestic, for free. As for comparing "apples to oranges", yep I agree, but you sarcy statement above actually said, "every". Couldn't let you get away with that so fast.

But to sum up, thanks for your latest explanation, and I agree with what you say.

I should like to point out that I was somewhat wrong in the first of this.

The free majestic account lets you do several lookups daily. The front end of the tool only allows I think 3, but then if you login you get more. Scrapebox uses your login so you get more. Further Scrapebox allows you to load in mutliple, so while I don't know exactly what the limit is, you could load in 20 or 50 free majestic accounts and use proxies and then get quite a lot of free lookups daily.

So if you are willing to put in the work and use a proxy to create each majestic account with a unique mail and then use that same proxy with that same majestic account in scrapebox, then you could get probably all the free majestic lookups that you need. Worst case you could split it over a few days to get the job done, of course assuming you have enough private proxies to use 1 per majestic account.

Also you may want to add a good delay like 20 or 30 to the majestic lookups as majestic gets "grouchy" (denies your queries) when you go too fast.

Latest update completely broke Index checking again... 100% Errors, using custom test proxies with Loopline's guide (testing against info: command).

Tested restoring previous version, Index checking works properly on 2.0.0.94.

Are you using windows or mac?

If windows - go to help >> server test - do you have 6 green lights?

Ill mail them.

@loopline would appreciate your feedback on this:

interested to know which search engines you guys select for your harvesting efforts. Selecting too many slows the process down. It seems Bing gives the best result using public proxies. MyWebSearch also provides ok results.
has anyone relies on a single search engine for their harvesting efforts? if so, which one(s)?

not support linux?

No.

Supports Windows and Mac, but no plans for a linux version.

I use google and bing personally. There are a lot of good ones in the list and I vary it depending on what I am doing and I experiment sometimes. But I structure my scraping and footprints to work specifically with both google and bing.

I have extensive excel sheets where I go thru and test different footprints and how successful those are at giving me the end results I want - and how well they work in google and bing.

Most people default to google, but with the right footprints I can, in many cases, get a better success rate from bing then google. By success I mean like if I was searching for X, your never going to get 100% spot on, but I can get like 70% on bing and 40% on google for the same footprint.

It could be argued that there are footprints for google that return higher results then bing, and my excel sheets agree. But at the end of the day if I can get enough results from bing with a given footprint then its irrelevant.

So it boils down to many factors, not the least of which is what you really are after and how much of it you need in a given time frame.

Which is why I tend to use a mix of footprints that are better or worse for both google and bing and I always get enough of what I need. So you can test and see, but I work in mass in most cases.

yes Bing is the most lenient so I like to at least include them as I get good results with low ip bans.

I just want to wish everyone a Happy and Prosperous 2018 from the ScrapeBox team! And especially a huge thank you to Loopline who's dedicated countless hours over the past year helping people out :)

Still getting some errors on Index checking, I re-checked the proxies, 100% passed custom info: test. Took the errors, re-checked, and most worked, but still some errors. Reverted to 2.0.0.94 and the same URL list had zero errors. Sort of annoying to have to keep re-checking the errors, takes 5+ Index checks to complete a list, opposed to just one.

THANKS! Happy New Year to you too and everyone else, maybe it be exceedingly more prosperous then 2017!

Are you using .96? Because .96 reverted the index checking to like it was in .94.

Hi I have the Macbook early 2015 version. My macbook is currently MacOS high sierra. Would this application work for my mac? @loopline

It's version 10.13.1 MacOS high sierra to be specific. Please let me know! I would like to purchase now

Yes, using .96. Most of the URLs are processed properly, but even with 100% custom checked proxies, there are several errors per run. Immediately after the run finishes, I re-check the proxies and they all still pass.

Yes it works with High Sierra just fine. In fact the mac version is being developed on that version of mac OS.

Thats really odd, because its the same code, to my understanding. Ill ask. In the mean time You can run more then 1 instance, so just use .96 for everything else and then use .94 for index checking. More on how to run multiple instances here:

It seems I have a small problem. Scrapebox v2 is working but v1 says "no license found".(both worked before). Server lights are all green and I tried to reboot, download fresh copy, delete reg file, disable firewall and so on without success.
I contacted support already but I was curious if anyone had the same problem before.

I'm very interested, pm me please..

I sent you a pm, but what is your question (s)?

I haven't used V1 in almost 2 years. V2 is superior in every way. They may have shut down the license servers for V1 finally.

Why are you using V1?

v1 still works. I tried it on a different vps. I just wanted to do some tests between v1 and v2.
