I think the only difference is n/a meens the domian is new and hasnt recieved a rating where as pr0 has a rating but is bad rating.

I may be wrong, it has been known :p

You know, I wonder sometimes when I check my links. When I see 100 other links on a blog engine article, I wonder what % of those comments came from you guys lol

Could we have something added to make the blogs we scrape are G rated. I always seem to get blogs about penis enlargement, russian brides, etc. when I am harvesting...

No you can't.. However i'm not sure what keywords you are searching to get that sort of stuff, because it's something i can't say i've ever encountered.

But what you can do is add negative keywords to exclude from the results, indicated by a minus symbol before the word. When you enter this, it will be added to your custom footprint library and then you can just select it from the drop down each time you are doing searches you want "G Rated".

Example:
n5pjqb.png

This will search blogs for "Cats" and "Dogs" plus also exclude any with Viagra, Penis and so on.

Actually doing this is good anyway to exclude blogs spammed up with pharma and porn links.

can we have a feature to add blog post title in the comment section or the author name to make the post more authentic.. like adding keyword "%title" will automatically add blog post title or "%editor" will put in the blog post author name in the comments.

it will be a cool feature then... and we will see more approved comment.

I have using this software for 2 months now and very pleased about the amount of backlinks i am getting.

Hi Sweetfunny,

I understand where you are coming from re the title issue. Thinking about it though, the author of the comment would be a great feature to input into the comment using a hook of somekind. I am no expert but the author name will be contained within the 'name' txt file and is held locally and used when scrapebox posts the comment. Could we not capture this 'name' as it is posting the comment through a 'hook' and input into the post with the corresponding 'hook'?

Being the 'name' is being generated by scrapebox (via the name txt file) I would have thought this could be done on the fly?

As I say, no expert, and will bow to your superior knowledge!

Yes that is possible, however citizenx28 mentioned the "blog post author name" which sounds to me like he meant the owner of the blog. Extracting that info from the blogs html is quite a task to do accurately (and it's slow), if every blog ran the same theme things would be different but that's not the case.

Putting your own name in a comment is different.

Any news from multi threaded harvester? It will be cool if harvester can fetch both google, yahoo, bing and aol at the same time.

Hopefully in about an hour(ish)... v1.8.0 is not "quite" ready for prime time, but almost.

I do believe Google wants to murder me, with the amount of URL's i scraped today bug testing. I think i have 1/4 of their search index on my desktop :D

Rape Google lol

Thanks for clearing up the suggestion. It is already a great software :-)

By the way i have 1 small question: How does pinging help? Is it a way to show the webmaster that he got a visitor from my website url?

Yes, I think your right around what he was talking about. Still, placing something unique into the comment such as referring to your name could help with acceptance rates or something along those lines....looking forward to the update!:D

I am at the moment not using proxies for scraping and submissions....are most users making use of the proxy scraper to harvest working proxies and if so are you guys experiencing better acceptance rates using proxies?

I tried it but the shelf life of the proxy was only around 10 mins - I am thinking of buying some decent proxies to help harvest and post comments better, does anyone know of a good proxy service that is suitable for use with Scrapebox?

Are you using free proxies? What happens if you don't use them?
