Good day everyone, I'm proud to announce that I have joined your fancy little club too... Just purchased SB a couple of days ago... Looking forward to use it in my campaigns.

I have only 1 question, is it reaaaally recommended to use proxies when posting? if yes, why? most blogs aren't related, so who can block your ip?

Aside from being banned by akismet, more importantly if people complain to your isp ,they can cancel you. I accidentally forgot to check the "use proxies" box one time and got a warning from my isp cause someone complained. They said they would cancel me if it kept up.

Kinda important to have an internet connection...

I'm just getting back into using scrapebox and i have a dumb question. If I tick "Custom Footprint" in the Harvester section for my custom footprint and I use "inurl:ipad" and then harvest... when it comes time to make comments what do I choose in the Comments section: wordpress, movable type, or blog engine?

Or should I never use the "Custom Footprint" radio button when I harvest because there is no corresponding "Custom Footprint" radio button to choose from in the Comment Poster?

Umm, your missing the boat.

Pretend you wanted to comment on ipad wordpress blogs. You go to google and search for inurl:ipad. Well that is going to give you every page on the planet that use ipad in the url, but it won't neccesarily give you wordpress blogs. You also have to tell Google you want wordpress blogs.

Like maybe:

inurl:ipad +"powered by wordpess"

Which then ties in with comment section. You choose the platform you want to post to. Although Scrapebox does have recognition. So if you choose wordpress it will use fast poster and then post to all wordpress/moveabletype/b2evolution.

so basically you need to pick your platform when you harvest and then when you comment choose wordpress - which is fast poster or blog engine which is slower poster.

Scrapebox isn't magic, it just automates what you would manually do.

are there any problems with posting to blogengine blogs? after the last or previous update, I see far less "Submited" posts, many of them are Failed, 404 OR Failed, timeout.

anyone have this problem?

Not having problems myself, are you using accurate mode or not? That seems to make a difference for me - at least as far as it shows submitted or not.

I have been trying to find blogengine bogs the last two weeks, I'm not having any problem with the program but with finding enough blogengine blogs.
Good Luck

I`m using slow commenter accurate mode.
I randomly checked some FAILED blogs and I managed to post manually in external browser with success.

Are you doing this with blogengine blogs and about how many % can you get doing it like that with the ones that failed

thanks

I bought Scrapebox and I was wondering if you could:

Fix the pause button for wordpress blogs.
Add a button to remove less than x PR.

Thank-you Sweetfuny.

I could swear that at one point (at least) there was an option to remove from scraped lists below a certain PR, but I'm having some sort of brain cramp @ the moment and cannot for the life of me find it right now. Maybe if you poke around a bit more you'll find it, or maybe some other sbox user can recall (must...have....more...coffee).

peace - greg.

Import/Export URL's & PR >> Export as Text (.txt)

If you are making coffee.. i'll have white with 2 :D

macdonjo3 - What is wrong with the Pause?

Sweetfunny, How many times our we allowed to reactivate? i mean because the other day i wanted to start with a clean copy of windows and make an image of my harddrive so i reformatted so i had to reactivate sb. Today, i was trying to install ubuntu (dual boot) but something must of went wrong and corrupted my windows installation so i had to reinstall win7. Tomorrow i am going to try again so i need to know if there's a limit on reactivation just in case something goes wrong again.

This last time i put scrapebox on a separate 5gb partition so nothing will happen to it. Will i still have to reactivate sb if something goes wrong even tho it's on it's own partition?

Is there a Linux version of sb? if so can i have sb on my win7 pc and my ubuntu laptop?

I have bought this beauty but the only problem I am facing with this thing is that it's working slow due to my internet connection speed. Damn I really want to increase my speed plan just to check out the power of this tool.

My current speed is 512kbps. It's slow right. I am in India at the moment.

Whats the optimum speed you need to work things out quickly? Specially the comment poster. Most of the time I facing a timeout situation. :(

Am I the only one still having troubles at BE commenting with the latest updates? (99% fail/timeout)

I must use ver. 1.14.59, which runs smoothly...

I think you should try with private/paid proxies. I tried it and the results were far better and everything worked quickly and smoothly. Free proxies are a little slow and failures are certain.

I have used scrapebox for scraping SEs long time and now i have encountered little problem. Sometimes (quite many times) when harvesting it hangs with 1 connection at the end. All other search engines have happily finished but 1 of them Hangs with 1 its randomly any of the engines, not same every time :). I have waited over hour to see if the last thread would finish but it never does. Also if i press stop harvesting the application will stop responding, Also waited more than 30 mins to see if it would continue. Anyone had similar problems ? Running windows XP. I have tried lowering the threads but i doubt its that.

shin.. is the problem with my proxies or with scrapebox?
havnt had any complaints yet so just checking

there's no problem with the proxies: proxygo's service is just awesome!

the problem is with SB (and probably my machine/conf):

  • slow poster accurate mode works great with old version (as I said I run the 1.14.59)
  • fails 99% after the latest updates (stopped working with the update of the wonder wheel feature)

At the moment I use the old version that works well, but I would like to try the latest features too..
