Wanted to post an update on the thread but posting something like a
THREAD UPDATE with
slots available felt kind of Meh. So I thought I'd instead introduce one of our writers to you guys.
M is one of our best writers. I would actually have to say that she's way better than me but hey, my ego as a writer refuses to let me
Anyway, M is 35, lives in CA, is the mother of two, and a huge fan of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She's a crazy reader (yeah, I know voracious is the apt word but you know what, it kinda feels too academic to use in normal conversation. I'll stick with crazy, thank you) and at times baffles me with random tidbits of trivia -
Romans used to pay salt to their soldiers instead of money. So 'sal' for salt, in fact, gave rise to the word 'salary'!
After one such trivia-filled conversation, gears started spinning in my head and I went
Damn this girl does know a lot! You know what, I should invite her to our Content Writing Academy.
I gave her one of the most random topics I could think of to see how she would do and she spent a good couple of days writing it. What she came up with pure magic!
I was all -
Academy shacademy, chuck that! M, you're going straight into the First Team to start writing for clients. The world needs your magic!
So that, folks, is how M started with us. And you, my friend, could have her writing for you!
(Okay, you had to allow me one shameless sales pitch there
