Review of SmartProxy.io:
After my old residential provider continued to get slower, have more IPs blacklisted and be more restrictive over how many sites I was able to access I went shopping for other options. I got setup with a trial for SmartProxy and I was really impressed with customer service right off the bat, with Elliot answering a few of my pre-sales questions.
PRO's:
- Slick control panel (easily understandable, quick updates on IP auth)
- Ability to grab residential proxies from any country, powerful backend that can let you scale fast if needed
- All of the proxies I checked against Spamhaus & other blacklists came back clean (no issues with account creation)
- Fast proxies & ability to access all the services I needed (not just webmail & social or locked to one type like many other providers)
- Sticky sessions to retain an IP
- Supports remoteDNS & didn't leak any privacy data
- these are legit residential IPs, not resold on multiple sites like other providers
CON's:
- Sticky sessions are capped at 5 mins, so you need to move fast for some types of activities (anyway to increase this duration?)
- It's billed on a bandwidth basis which will exclude some usage & users (it's a pro & con at the same time, less abuse = better IPs)
It's important to note this isn't for managing IG's/FB accts in my opinion, you'll simply burn too much bandwidth and waste everyone's time. But if it's utilized in the correct and surgical manner this type of service prints money and will make you unblockable on any platform.
Overall I'm very impressed with SmartProxy and will be using it for some projects going forward, just my 2c.
