Hello, I'm in a pickle and hope to find solutions from you guys. I would ofc reward any tip/trick that leads me to solving this mess. Unless it's against forum rules - then scratch that. I just figure it's common praxis to give a token of appreciation in the same manner as when you get your lost wallet back or something. Which basically is what this is, but in digital form.

I have a random personal account on PayPal that I started just to send and recieve money between friends; poker/dinner checks/trips/bar tabs etc. etc. And now, the amount of incoming money has reached that point (€2500) where their automatic system triggers a "hold" on the account until they get verification that I am me. The problem is that I created this account with a fictive name - I did not know or forsee that I was gonna have this problem and thought I could name myself whatever I wanted. Apparently not. Yes, yes I know - it sounds careless, but it's not like I'm running a scam here - I just had a joke name. And now €2500+ is locked up there because of a silly name.

I've checked to see if my senders can request a refund and we can move the money that way, but either them or me has the option to refund the transfers. Can I wait 180 days and move the money after that? Or what will happen after 180 days?

Anyone know a way out of this?

can i know a joke name ??
is that the reason a lot people give money to your pp ??

Is this legit? If so, would I be able to actually create an identity using the name of that account and get it verified that way? Maybe you're not the right person to ask here - but I'll ask you anyways.

You could always try calling and explain the situation to PayPal. Truth be told though I don't see that getting you very far.

If it were me, I would be verifying the account with documents created by @secondeye . His service thread is designed for people in your situation and they have a fantastic track record. It's most certainly legit.

Yeah, there's some good marketplace threads that have ways around this.

Yeah, no I don't even see that as an option - I figure they will just instaban the account if they know I created it with a fictive name, and there goes any sort of chance of me seeing that money again.

I'm still trying to work on the refund track - but will try secondeye out as a last resort. If it all works out I'll send you a little something on PP as thanks for the tip, if you have PP that is.

Of you don't hurry, just wait for 180 days and then you can withdraw to your local bank if you already add an account there, other wise go to BST section here on BHW, I'm sure there a service for this.

Good luck

Can you point me to these please?

People already posted direct links to a seller in the thread. Why do you continue to ask?

Depends on his bank account which I assume is in his real name.
Most banks will refuse incoming bank transfers when the recipient name does not match the account holder's name.

Excuse me good Sir, can you point me to these links please? I assume you see more than one of them since you use plural. Which links other than @secondeye's thread has been recommended here?

Now, to answer your question; "Why do you continue to ask?". Well, English isn't my first language, but I'm pretty sure that to "continue" something you must actually have started it once and then do it again. But let's put semantics aside. Let's cut you some slack and let's pretend that you just want to know why I ask for another service than @secondeye's - because, I know, THAT is some far out shit man... Comparing the market, jeez, what madness. Just imagine a world where you actually don't just instabuy a service from the first offer you see - that would be a crazy world, right? Sarcasm aside; the user @Society Girl said "Yeah, there's some good marketplace threads that have ways around this.", note the word "threads" - another plural. I simply asked said person to point me towards these places since said person seemed to know which one of them was good.

I hope this satisfies your curious needs! Peace.

If I wait 180 days, can I also transfer the money to another PP-account?

Multiple people mentioned him. Why do you need more than one seller?
I guess I'm just tired of people asking the same questions over and over (took me less than 20 seconds to search and retrieve these results - why can't you do a simple search yourself?):

Well, I have the same exact case with OP and I successfully withdraw to my bank account.

If I wait 180 days, can I also transfer the money to another PP-account?

NO, only withdraw to bank that available

Yeah I don't think the bank account's holder name matters at all - since you do that code thingy to connect your bank to PP.

Ok, but if I havn't connected a bank before the limitations, it's not gonna work? I can't add a bank account right now while my PP-account is pending verification? And I can't add it post 180-days?

@MWMW, try contact PP support regarding this

Before your account get limited, is your PayPal verified?
