Parallels USB passthrough - Help!

Not sure if anyone will be able to help?

Apologies, it is a bit of a hardware question that is maybe not suitable for BHW but I imagine might be useful for others as well at some point. I have installed Parallels on my Mac with a view to installing Jarvee tunning off a 4g dongle.

I am stuck on how to get Parallels to connect to the USB dongle so that it is using 4g rather than the ip of my home internet.

The dongle is plugged into the USB port of my Mac and I have these options:



Not sure what to choose?

Or do i need to by a USB to Ethernet adapter and plug the dongle in to that and then in to the ethernet slot in my computer.

Would so appreciate some advice!

Do adapters exist with male ethernet and female USB? They all seem to be the other way round for some reason?
