I come from a dropshipping/ecom/FBA background, but since 2021 things have not been too hot here. I have recently started seeking alternative side hustles that could generate passive income after automation and have come to two things: KDP and Youtube.
With the rise of AI, I've been researching how to make a successful YouTube channel. Usually I can weed out the fake gurus on youtube, and the legitimate channels, but for some reason I can't figure it out with Youtube.
So far I've found that a ChatGPT Script + Pictory or Invideo for Editing + AI Voiceover via Murf or a few others seems to be the way.
Obviously you have to find your niche, and find what pays the most RPM, with that aside, I am going to soon start a journey of creating a Youtube channel and trying to scale it to 1k -> 5k ->10k a month. I saw a couple doing that and respect the hustle, but need to figure out how to start it myself.
This seems like a very little capital investment, but the issue right now is getting everything started / the blueprint I guess.
#1 issue right now, is Stock images on Pictory or Invideo seems like it will provide generic video content which will not do well (IMO?)
#2 is shorts vs full length videos
I have read here that having a cash cow shorts channel that sends traffic to the main channel is the way, but why not just get those subs on the shorts channel and then start doing full length videos on the same channel? Is there a problem with that?
A side note, I actually made some dropship videos with my face like in 2021 and was able to get 600 subscribers within 1 months time, but I was running out of content, and did not want to end up one of those guys who spit out the same non-valuable information hoping you'll by my course. I actually wanted to sell a course eventually, but so long as there is real value in it. I think dropshipping is like 95% dead unless you have a legitimate brand and a competitive product. I'm hoping Youtube and KDP will get me out, but Youtube seems the least amount of work to me.
