old HTML to new Joomla layout?

I wanted to convert a existing site with .html extensions to Joomla. The problem is I don't want to lose the serps by changing the links of the pages. I know about a 301 redirect but is it a way to give the new Joomla pages the same extensions as the html pages? I'd really appreciate any help!
