Just wondering if anyone would know why there is no Top 7 Google Local listings for a keyword which I know is searched frequently. I have managed to rank a website on the first page and am now looking to get a Google Local Top 7 listing however I'm unsure of if this is worth attempting seeing as there is no Top 7 listings when searching that keyword.

The keyword is "[location] accommodation" and is searched 1900 broad and 880 exact each month. It seems strange to me that there is no Top 7 local listings, especially when surrounding areas with smaller populations and lesser searches all have a Top 7 listing for their own "[location] accommodation".

If someone could let me know as to why this is happening it would be greatly appreciated. I have tried to search for this both on BHW and also on Google and am yet to find any relevant information.

I will be sure to update this with any information I can if I manage to get a position in the Google Local top list, and hopefully it will help others that are finding the same problem as myself.

Sorry for any confusion, I'm still relatively new to the Google Local/Places set up.

There are no Google Local/Places listings at all for this search term. From what I've found, most surrounding areas have a list of up to 7, which is why I assumed it was a Top 7.

The term I'm searching for "[Location] accommodation" only has the standard page one top 10 rankings, no Google Places listings at all for this term.

Surrounding areas using the same keyword setup "[Location] accommodation" have both the page one top 10 rankings as well as 7 Google Places listings usually above the organic results.
