Hi Blackhatworld! I am have been lurking around for quite a bit so i decided to join today. I have a question about seo. I want to build some traffic to my money site using a youtube video, would it help rank my money site by linking it in my YT video description to get visitors. Is that considered a backlink? Should i link it to my buffer site or money site?

linking it to your utube video will get you traffic.. as well as backlink... but that backlink will be of no use (kind of) as it will be a nofollow backlink.. google more about nofollow to know more.
 
I would backlink the youtube video as those are easier to get first page then your money site.. Use that youtube traffic to funnel to your money site.

So, you want to put a link of my youtube video on my buffer site, and in the description of the YT video you want me to link my money site? sorry a little confused here.

Edit: ohhh.. i think i know what you meant. you want me to treat my youtube video like a buffer site. So i build some backlinks to my youtube video and have a link of my money site in the description of the YT video. Do you think i could replace my buffer sites with youtube videos instead? I have experience in ranking youtube videos.

Correct. Use YT to send traffic to your money site. YT is relatively easy to rank at the moment. It won't pass any PR or other link-juice as it's no-follow but it's a reasonably good way to get traffic, certainly if the video is compelling enough to get people to "want to know more" etc...

No, you're good to put a link from YT straight to your money site (or whichever page on your money site you want).
