I see a lot of new journeys focusing on Google seo and I also have my own Google seo projects, but I decided to do a test to see how well I can utilize Pinterest. My site is new but my Pinterest account is old. I'm currently revitalizing the account by posting and repinning every day.

This isn't going to be something fancy. It's just a simple blog, creating minor content focusing on "reviews", repinning images for traffic, registering for an affiliate network once I filled out the blog, and seeing how it goes. The main focus of this journey is to see the current state of utilizing Pinterest seo vs Google seo.

Just now, I registered my domain and will be doing some product curation to focus on for my blog topics. I'm trying to do this journey with minimal spending. This is a side project while I wait for my other sites to index.

Loss: approx. $20 (domain/hosting)
Pinterest Traffic To Site: 0

My domain URL was marked as spam on Pinterest, I guess I pined the same URL multiple times within a week. Is there any chance to unspam my domain from Pinterest?

Day 1
3470 words site total
No pinning

Despite the plan to focus on Pinterest, I still made my posts Keyword specific. Figured if I'm going to write, might as well make it worth something. Not planning to start pinning until my site is filled out a bit and I clean up the design. Wrote 6 posts today. 4 focusing on helping people, 2 focused on product lists. I might stop doing the product lists because they are a fraction of the quality of my helpful posts. Instead, I will just combine the two formats and add products as I write helpful information. The only problem is that the product lists are my main source of images to pin. I'll figure it out as I go. Analytics set up, sitemap submitted, and privacy page made. Work on finessing the site tomorrow. Forgot to add that I remembered I signed up for ebay partner program a while back so I'm using their products for now. Will at least give me something to test.

At the very least, I can say I did something today. I will try to keep up this same level of workflow and get faster as I learn exactly how I want my content structured.

You need lot of Pinterest accts and automation to make considerable profit

Day 2
Added 1610 words (2 posts), cleaned up site (looks good enough to not be considered spammy), still waiting for ssl certificate to setup, will continue to add and start posting once ssl verification is completed. Ordered products to make some videos and do video pins. I plan to cap my loss here until I start seeing some returns. Products won't arrive until a few weeks from now. I wish I started sooner to capitalize on holiday spending. I will post again after my ssl is setup, since that's when I plan to start pinning.

Loss: app. $140 for products ($160 total)

Interested your work! Following you.

Still waiting for SSL. Set the dns according to Namecheap directions. Today will be day three since then. Will contact support if it doesn't setup by tomorrow. I think this is a problem from using Easy-wp before setting up the ssl for the domain. Don't know. Continuing with creating articles. Once site is filled out, I will try to get approved to Shareasale so I can create articles for a site I'm interested in and Amazon.

Best of luck and keep using pinterest it's actually the best converting traffic out there

Finally got ssl setup. I had to contact namecheap support. They were very helpful and responsive. 1800 words added today. Will start pinning and creating relevant boards tomorrow. Might give tailwind a try. Also have Facebook set up just in case that helps with seo. Not sure when to apply to Shareasale. My content is all handmade but I don't know if they prefer more authority type sites. I will likely wait and add more content.

Items I ordered might be here sooner than I thought. The seller probably provided a lengthy delivery estimate just to cover themself.

any bots? I need to grow my account too but its hard =/
No bots. I'm using an old Pinterest account that I had sitting. I'm rejuvenating it by pinning and repinning daily. Trying to do this mostly white hat and minimal spending.

How many pins u do per day?

Day 6

Added 660 words. I got my products today. I spent most of the time messing with one to see if it works and then wrote a short review. Did some seo optimization on my previous articles. Submitted a video pin which has to get reviewed along with 4 other pins leading back to my site. Created a Youtube video to embed on my article, same video as Pinterest pin. Curious to see if it gets any Youtube traffic though it's not a concern at this moment. Will spend tomorrow making my other review videos + posts + pins. My videos aren't fancy, just videos of the product and no audio. They act more like proof of what you can expect to receive. I will improve my video quality on Youtube only if the site starts gaining value. I will make the next update when (or rather if) I start getting traffic from any source.

Pins to site: 5(4)
Pinterest traffic to site: 0

How many pins u do per day?
Not too many, around 5-10, including repins unless I'm creating a new board. Then I do around 15-20/day for a few days.
