Exactly this. How can you say they dont help to rank? Ofc you will not rank perfectly well if you just buy views, you have to find some good method for ranking but noone method will work without at least 2-3 minutes retention views. I am not into adsense on youtube, i work with cpa and ppi and for me there is no way to earn a penny without ranking and i cant rank without similar type of views. I mean, what are we talking here, go to youtube enter any cpa niche and you will see so many videos that are uplaoded before couple of hours and they already have tens of thousands of views, ofc fake one. And they do it constantly to rank, are they fools?
I repeat again. I dont know how that works with other type of videos but I guess if someone can rank for these cpa videos that are highly competitive, then there is a way to do it on regular videos. YOU NEED METHOD!
Read previous part of my post. About posting, I am doing only stuff based on youtube so I comment on these topics. If I am panel owner I would advertise it somehow. I am just saying that these views works if you have good method. Go and check all people that go with cpa and similar videos every single day. Hundreds of new videos every day, you can very easy see that they are using fake views to rank, ofc with some twist and methods. You need to figure that yourself. If you upload video and then just buy some views, ofc it wont give some crazy results. Surely there is crap views that drop, but if you test enough you will find good ones.
