need to start wholesale socks for dropship how does it work?

I have started my own clothing Manufacturing company.
currently we are knitting socks.

I would like to start as a wholesaler but don't have any idea how does it works.
searching Google 3 days not getting any good info for wholesalers all the sites telling how to start dropshipping business by finding wholesalers.

I have many questions i am confused with and hope get the answers from BHW.

1) how does wholesale works when the wholesalers are outside of US.
2) what are the payment solutions.
3) what are the shipping methods used by wholesalers for dropshipping.
