Need Serious help Please!

I've got a website that is very targeted on page 1 of google for a specific keyword that has about 15.3 million other sites competeing for it, I've got it monitized for google adsense, amazon and some ebay products but really isnt earning much at all... with this kind of traffic I would expect to make a ton of money but it really isnt... :cussing: What the heck am I doing wrong and how can I generate some income with this targeted traffic? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

How many exact searches your keyword have? How much traffic you get?

If you got a lot of traffic the problem can be your ad placement or even the niche itself, some just doesn't convert that well with ads. It doesn't mean too much to be in 1st page if there are no traffic or no money in the niche.

I couldn't tell you what you were doing wrong because I don't know the niche or what the site is, or what the keywords are and how many people are searching for it.

If I knew a few of these things than maybe I could help.

it has about 3600 a month and the niche has to do with lighting, I guess i just assumed anyone looking for this niche is a potential buyer and not just a tire kicker... I'll have to look into the ad placement for sure on this...thanks for your input...

Where are you on Page 1 ? ..with 3600 hits you would have to be in the top 3 to get any earnings....what sort of traffic is it getting ?

How many unique visitors do you get per day?

Check your bounce rate, if it is too much then your site is not considered a quality site by the users or it is not what they are looking for.

Hello! How many search results are there and how many monthly searches for the subject is 2 different thing.

Check your keywords in Google Adwords Keyword Tool, select exact searches on the left.

3600 exact / month, somewhere on page 1 and expected to earn a fortune...

Well the fact is are you engaging the visitor on your website.They may be coming in from different sources, but you need to have them spend time on your website.What is your site's bounce rate and repeat visitor rate. I guess these analytics and a bunch of others will help analyse where you need catching up.
