Hi Forum,

As my name suggests, I'm pretty much a novice when it comes to SEO and website building. I know some things, but I could use the help of the forum.
I have a teaching blog (I can't add the URL) but it's teflpragueandabroad.blogspot and my keywords and site rankings were doing pretty well until I added the pages option for a menu of different posts on the homepage. This also was right when google put out the penguin updated so I'm a bit in a pickle. It seems now that my blog does not come up nearly as much in search engines and key words as it did a month ago. I don't know if the new page menu with links to my individual posts is the problem and it's preventing google from crawling my site the way it should or the penguin update or something else or if it just a random dancing in rankings that can happen. If anyone could check out my site and let me know if you see any glaring problems that would be great and I really, really appreciate it.

Cheers,

Someone will be along really soon about you having an English teaching blog and your post being full of "English" errors, grammatical and otherwise.

It's inevitable.

I hate to beat you up old chap but that site has so many grammatical, syntax and other errors that no TEFL teacher is going to take the site seriously. You have a site in a professional sphere that will be wholly unforgiving for its errors.

I know it's my weakness. I post things just to post them, at least that's how it started. Now that the blog is becoming more serious, I need to scan everything for errors. Thanks for the heads up with that.

Better place high quality content there to attract some serious visitors.
