Need help for 301

i got a expired domain that in the same niche as my affiliate website.
i brought domain from godaddy and looking to forward it to my affiliate website
is there anything do i need to consider?

Well you already bought it. Why you asking now? Lol check wayback history and ahrefs achor text. And you are good to go.
 
You've already bought it, check the history of the domain and backlink quality. If it is not looks like spam you can use it.
 
Try to check quality of back-link history and domain authority and add updated new trend quality content.
 
Check with the backlink quality and history in the wayback. If those are clean and legit, then try to use it.
 
Stick it in ahrefs, check past usage, traffic drops, see if it has a vertical line down showing penalization, waybachmachine check, see if it's still indexed
 
I have had recent success 301'ing a niche relevant domain to a money page, NOT home page/domain root. You could consider doing this also.

What do you mean by Money Page and not Home Page? Do you mean on an innerpage?

What kind of results did you get, how long did you wait?
 
Check backlinks, and everything is fine, you already bought
 
You have already bought the domain, so you just check the history, backlinks.

Yes, inner page or silo. Very good results. I always age my expired domains, so these ones tend to be 6 months old or more before I even consider using them for a money site, or to 301 redirect.

If you mean before adding them to my site, as I said 6 months. If you mean how long till I saw ranking increases after I add it, a week, as I had aged it properly.
 
You can put your site on this domain, I think that will be fine. Just check the backlinks

Ah got it, I aged mine 9 months (forgot about it lol) and redirected it 2 days ago, can't wait to see the results. Thanks for the insights.
