Namecheap vs. IONOS?

My SiteGround hosting expired and I don't want renew their costly service.

Saw two good BlackFriday offers from Namecheap and IONOS. On paper both look fantastic. So here I'm asking you if anyone have experience with either of services and which one would you recommend.

My requirements are for 6 small wordpress websites with total 10k traffic per month.

I'm interested in Stellar Plus plan.

-It says "unmetered bandwidth" however I know there will be limitations. How much traffic it can handle?
-It says "unlimited email" and "unmetered SSD" but how much storage do I get for email?
-Some time back they used to mention Super CDN but I don't see that in the list now. One of my sites get traffic only from Asia Pacific region especially Australia while the main website gets traffic from everywhere. They provide datacenter for US only. I don't think I will get Super CDN. Will I require third party CDN like Cloudflare or BunnyCDN?
-Another thing is that their SSL is for 1 year only. Need to pay from second year. Hopefully I can resolve that Let's Encrypt free SSL.

Their servers are decent. As someone says above you can use them for low-traffic websites. If you want something to handle big sites you have to use dedicated servers. And yes, their dedicated servers are good. Also, I would not recommend Super CDN, they don't have that many features and it performs poorly. You can use Cloudflare for free and you got SSL too, much stronger and reliable.

Alright. It seems that Namecheap+Cloudflare is more preferable than IONOS. Thanks for sharing information.
 
Namecheap customer here.

Running few sites on Stellar Business with no issues at all. Even a RADIO APP that holds ~15k images for the app. No issues at all.
 
Namecheap is better. Dynadot is also ok and cheap for low budget and low traffic sites

Never rely on unmetered. Everything is metered.
Also, nothing is unlimited. Not sure what the limits are.
Better to use Cloudflare free or go for BunnyCDN paid plans. There is a $6 free credit if you sign up now in BF sale.
Acquire domains in Namecheap and auto-renew to have SSL auto renewed too.

Just did further research. The last point was a mistake from my side. What OP said is right, after a year, need to pay for SSL or do some workaround to get the Let's Encrypt free SSL to Namecheap domain

Yesterday, I was in the same position as you. I received a promo message from IONOS and I was already keeping an eye on Namecheap over the last several days because of their BF promo. I had the exact struggle of which provider to choose. In the end I chose Namecheap and so far it's ok. I mean, free SSL for one year for up to 50 domains, free daily backups, increased speed over my previous hosting, also 50% cheaper domain names and I also tested their customer support 12 hours ago cause I couldn't migrate 2 of my websites from the previous host so I needed their help. And they helped me.

Based on these I would recommend you choose Namecheap, but I won't frantically and forever vouch for their quality as this is my first time with them, so I didn't get the chance to test everything yet (website safety, traffic limitations, uptime, etc).

Interserver.net BLACK FRIDAY for 2.5 USD/m forever (price-lock). Thats the best offer I have found. Moving out from 13 usd/m site5.
 
I use stellar business plan from Namecheap for some of my sites, go for it. Works well. You'll get your money's worth.
 
I'm using EasyWp ... and this is my review:

- Price: Very good.
- Server: I can say that it's good if the traffic is low (start up subscription can handle only 10K traffic per month) + and this is so important --> they have a list of blocked plugins that you cannot use. click here to see the list. + They have their own cash plugin. I guess that's the only thing I can say is bad. anything else is good.

I think that's managed wordpress and that's why they restricted the listed plugins. For Stellar plans they aren't restricted I guess.

I have used Namecheap for years. I like them mainly because they accept bitcoin, no ID verification and instant delivery.
