Namecheap Is An Absolute NIGHTMARE

I but domains from namecheap and use hostwinds for hosting and never had one problem ever.

LOL, Namecheap probably has the best support when it comes to hosting, it was a holiday so they were probably short on employees. And about the proof of purchase, every hosting/domain name company does it. If you think this is bad, I once bought a domain name from bigrock.com and they suspended my account and pushed the domain name to another user until I give them my id/license etc.

I've bought over 50 domain names with namecheap so far, they're expensive if you compare them to 99 cent domain names from Godaddy with coupons, but their quality is the best in my personal experience.

P.S: I don't know why on Earth most people don't know this, but paypal transaction IDs are different for seller than buyer, so yeah, your TID is different than the seller's TID on the same transaction, nobody seem to get it.

I've never had a bad experience with Name Cheap. The registrar that I try to avoid is GoDaddy.

All I'm saying is that my experience with them was horrible, that's all. And how is anyone supposed to prove they actually bought something then?

Their domains & hosting is good, it was their live support that was embarrassing.

I have hosting with namecheap and it is Good. Btw OP. I don't see why you label them as Nightmare... They are only following procedures.

A monkey or a bot could have followed procedure better then they did.....they literally circled everything I said, all I kept receiving was pre-made messages even when they didn't answer my questions. It was brutal, if you in my position you would consider it to be a nightmare as well.

Like this maybe?

You clearly didn't read my post, I can't login to namecheap which is the reason I went to their live support in the first place. I sent them my paypal receipt, my paypal email receipt, my photo id, my domain information for the hosting I bought, and they still didn't give me access to my account. Don't know what other 'proof' they expected to get out of me.

Ah okay, my bad, I thought you were question my claim of purchasing over 50 domain names with them, nevermind. But yeah, if you've already sent all that info, you should have already been able to login.

I wasn't questioning your claim, I was just curious how else I was supposed to prove I bought the hosting if a unique transaction id is useless. But I agree with you, they are a good company for buying domains & hosting but their support is just horrible (in my case) and I will never use them again for anything because of it.

Well, everyone has their side of this.

Am using both of their service and i tell you, it's Superb. I have used several hosts and there's no single one of them that does not have some level 0-1 support personnel, who is still coping and learning the scope of the business.

You can't compare their support with that of Bluehost, among others. Because what other companies will charge you $50, Namecheap do it for free.

But, that's my opinion of them. Have been using them for more than 3 Years + now.

Namecheap's for domain names dude.

Use Hostgator, Dreamhost, or any other real hosting company.

Also, you'll get much better customer service if you pay more than $20/year. Check out KnownHost. They reply back within minutes.

All my sites load at like a 95 score on google page speed with hostgator.

we were using namecheap hosting before , but it didnot work well
now we are using vps which havent gave us any problem yet.

I used to purchase domains on NameCheap until GoDaddy started providing better rates and servicing.

Don't ever stop looking for newly developed services that outmatch competitors providence.

In the past Godaddy kind of stunk, but now they are back at being the best in comparison to the newly developed user interface and pricing payment model.

Most likely after the investors squinzed them did they happen to recover.

I always read good reviews about them. But yeah may be their hosting service is not that good. Go with powerup hosting.

I have been with them for many years. Almost since day one and i never had any problems with domains.
As for hosting, well i got a little VPS with them (for over a year now) and it works fine.
Either i'm lucky or you are not ?
