Hi all.

I started doing CPA marketing back in 2015. Me and a friend got involved in it unintentionally, after one of our Instagram accounts exploded, at that time we didn't know how to monetise - or what that meant.
We proceeded to craft a method which made a few thousand/day/week, whatever we could be bothered to push it to, as we were doing it manually. (This was on BluMarket - what happened to them btw?)

Anyway, after both myself and my friend had different personal life issues (we were in Year 8 at the time), I'm now back.
I don't want to give too much away about what we did exactly, but it involved a few 'verified' (accounts that we had grown to extend spam tolerance) accounts posting comments and redirecting to lockers where people would install an app, we did this manually. I took it from 200$/day to more than that in an hour, as I figured that we were better off targeting certain accounts, with certain characteristics.

We were very young, we had some big accounts (300k+ at the time), but we got caught up in the Instagram purge - and as we had made alot of money, and had some personal stuff going on, we never really got back into it.
+1 Point if you can find the account @mention on here (someone made a post about us) which exploded to 300k in 2 days from about 10k (we didn't know how to monetise then ;(

Anyway, I have a few questions. I don't know what you'd call me, I'm not a noob - but I don't have the network I used to have, I logged into Kik and it seems 90% have been purged, I have a new telegram number as-well, so I don't have any contacts (only Ben from OGMobi).

I'm aware of other cpa/cpi and affiliate methods, but the 'comments' method we crafted really did seem to make way more money than anyone else. I know right now that the spam tolerances are so low on instagram, and they have advanced anti-spam ops going on.

I've seen people trash talking content locking, is it really that bad? OGMobi still seem fine, I know Ben said (back in 2015) they are a bit more careful about who they take on than BluMarket were, but so-long as its not adult, nobody seems to mind. I searched for some of the larger networks back in the day, they wanted to know more - but places like OGMobi BluMarket seem fine (also BluMarket had sick rewards).

I see two avenues, if somebody experienced could give me the nod if either is on the right lines, I'd appreciate it.
1) Update the comments method, with finely tuned bot accounts
Key considerations:
Need mobile proxies (with consideration for geolocation to each account, to avoid flagging)
Need to pattern access timings for each account
Each account needs to be 'verified' - it should post, interact, etc, not just comment.
Comments need to be 'sporadic' to maintain account lifespan
Each account needs a sell-by-date (so I don't lose the entire botnet in one purge)

Questions for the experienced:
How do you evade noGUI-fingerprinting? (I.e: Instagram knows if you are not interacting with GUI, scrolling, clicking.) Does IG have a tolerance for this (to avoid banning legit users)? Are there any automation tools which actually emulate the instagram android/ios app? OR, do you run these not caring about instagram knowing its a bot, and just give it a sell-by-date to stay under the ban radar?

2) I've seen on friends feeds youtube, facebook, google, bing ads - the sort of ads you click where you are bored. I know the sort of people to target and the sort of people who install apps.
So this would have two main methods. I've seen people doing CPI without content locking, literally just marketing the app directly (i.e. for games). So I buy the traffic cheaper than them, create some clickbaity video, target bored people on youtube/IG and drive game app installs.
The other would be content locking, though I haven't decided a niche.

I've seen a lot of talks about niches etc, but I think that's wrong - it seems to me to be an excuse. When I made alot of money, my thought process was this:
1) How do I make money?
a: when somebody installs an app
2) Why do they install the app?
b: because they want something

Hence, I thought:
Drive more app downloads.
How do I do this?
Find people who really want something, and won't think twice about downloading the content locker app.
So, being a kid on IG. Most of my downloads came from bored kids on IG, who wanted new emojis, etc etc.

If you want a 'formula':
Find people who do not think twice about installing an app. (I wouldn't bother with surveys, they are so long and so few people actually fill them, also it just flags the traffic more, it looks suspicious).
Target these people on mass (ideally without spending any money).

Translated into what I did on IG:
We would get hundreds of thousands of bored kids seeing our comments every hour. At an avg of $0.7/install we only need <0.1% to actually click AND install to make over $200/hour (300k*0.1%*$0.7=$210).
Back then (and even now) people have never seen the captcha content lockers, and with app install (surveys are dodgy) it looked legit. We would have some pretty sick content lockers from BluMarket as-well.
(You are dealing with kids/teens. Target the right kids/teens and they would probably install malware - not advising that, just saying - to get emojis. I think I did so-well because I was targeting people my own age, I understood how they thought).

Some Further Questions:
Given I'm just getting back in the scene, how can I do some 'market research'? (see what methods and lockers other people in my circle are using)
I will +9000 you if somebody can tell me a good 'demographics' search service for instagram? (I am looking for a website where I can find accounts by filters of the type of followers they have, e.g: accounts with 100-500k followers, with followers aged 13-21, USA); if somebody knows a good site like this I would really appreciate it, it would make the method way more optimised.
What happened to blumarket? Are there any good networks like OGMobi (with better rewards - like Blu had)?
FOR anyone else who used to do any IG content locking, what are you doing now?
