My Meta Ads account got disabled – need help

You must have triggered the sensitive part of the algorithm, especially if you are in a sensitive niche. After they have reviewed and they say you violated their policy, they will most likely not get it reinstated but if you are sure you didn't violate any police, you can still re-review in the future

Hey everyone,

I’m stuck and hoping someone here might have some advice.

I’ve been running campaigns for a client in the stock market niche. A while back, some of our ads were rejected with the message: “It looks like your ad contains deceptive or misleading business practices. This goes against our Advertising Standards on unacceptable business practices.”

After that, I paused things for a few days. Then on Monday, I created 3 new campaigns for the same client — all of them were approved and running fine. But on Tuesday, I set up an app install campaign and it got rejected. Right after that, Meta restricted my ad account, and shortly after, it was disabled completely.

I appealed, confirmed my identity, and went through their process. Yesterday, I finally got a response from Meta saying:

“Hi Burhan,
We have completed a further review of your ad account. This review found that your ad account didn't comply with our Advertising policies affecting business assets.”

Now my ad account is disabled and I can’t use it anymore.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Is there any way to get it back, or should I just give up and start fresh? Any help, tips, or experiences would mean a lot right now.

Thanks in advance
Hey Burhan,
I’ve seen this happen quite a few times, especially in sensitive niches like stock trading. Once Meta flags an account for policy violations, it can be really difficult to recover it fully, even after appeals. Often the safest route is to start fresh, however, even if you start with a new profile and BM, Facebook will still be able to know your new profile is from the same person based on your IP address. Not only that, using the same debit card for payment can also caused your new ad account to be ban.

Some of our clients find success using new ad accounts, which can help bypass certain restrictions and give campaigns a smoother start especially when they use credit line as a payment method instead of debit. Agency ad accounts can also provide more flexibility while staying compliant.

Previously, run ads in the financial niche was almost easier than it is now. This is a common situation everyone encounters and is usually not because your campaign violated policies.
Disabled accounts will certainly not be recoverable. So, use accounts with high trust and adjust creatives towards sharing knowledge to reduce risk. Run a low budget for bait campaigns then scale to be safer. You can consider renting Agency accounts from providers that allow testing accounts with a low budget to see if they can setup your campaigns and spend.

Meta completes a final review and confirms a policy violation, it’s very difficult to recover the same ad account. In many similar cases, appeals don’t succeed after the final decision.

If you're new to running ads, this might come as a surprise. But experienced advertisers, or at least those who have been running ads for a year, will understand that this is perfectly normal. Using content that doesn't comply with Facebook's policies can easily lead to account bans, and the appeal rate is currently very low. You should buy a new account and, ideally, carefully check your content to avoid violating Facebook's policies. Good luck!
