So I created a brand new Pet niche website in June 2019, I was quite motivated when I first started but it has been off and on since then. It has earned about $32 so far (a majority of it from Oct - Dec) when I started posting a new article each month. With it being the new year, i would like to start taking this more seriously as it has a potential of making me some money.
Here is what I am thinking of doing next, please critique if this is the right approach or if I should think differently since this is my first website and I am still learning:
- Add a LOT more articles (~1k words, I plan on buying them from BHW as I really don't like writing, which is why my interest kind of faded last year. but I do have a seller in mind). I currently have about 10 articles, but a lot of them needs improvement and very short on words (~300)
- Maybe add a quiz section as that can draw more visitors to my site? And add a bunch of quizzes?
- Add other affiliate networks? (Currently only Amazon affiliates right now) Would Adsense be an option once I get more traffic? (Amazon shows 471 clicks last year, 23 items ordered)
- Currently around 40 visitors a day, not sure how much of that is real traffic as the statistics show 0 from all search engines.
- Increase my social media engagement as that's probably where all my traffic comes from right now (currently have FB page, Twitter, Reddit)
Is there anything else I should be focusing on or missing? I would like to keep this as White Hat as possible and also keeping the cost low (majority of my spending to be from buying articles)
