Hi friends,
in this thread i'd like to share with you the current analysis and brainstorming done for my website and ask for tips and pieces of advice to improve.
This is the website: http://www.vba-automation.com
Still needs to post some pages, they'll arrive in a couple of days.
Service i want to offer
I want to focus just on:
According to my research, these are the main points about the VBA/Macro niche:
Here's the main part. How to improve the website.
Some points:
New visitor: make him contact me
Lead: build trust, showcasing competence and authority
How to get customers
Here come the real problem...
My actual strategy is to help people in Reddit and Stackoverflow.
But most of those people are newbie of VBA or DIY folks, so i don't think it's gonna be that helpful.
Seo speaking, i find very difficult to find keywords to attract people which could have a benefit from my services.
Most of vba related keywords will, eventually, just attract newbie/diy as written some lines above.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Conclusion
Any advice to improve, according to the points above, website design, SEO or whatever can be helpful?
Many thanks if someone is gonna help.

Service i want to offer
I want to focus just on:
- Improve processes with task automation/VBA apps (so just processes based on ms office apps)
- Dashboard Excel based (for now, soon in POWER BI as well)
According to my research, these are the main points about the VBA/Macro niche:
- the best sellers on an online market like Fiverr got thousands of review and they always have 2 or 3 jobs in queue
- There are million of Excel/Office users
- Most of them are unaware of the existence of VBA/Macro and the possibility to automatize tasks (in the past i got two 9 to 5 jobs, both small and big company, lots of manual redundant work with excel so i get this also from past experiences)
- Cost/Value super positive: a complex vba app can be quoted 500$ and actually save hundreds of man work for a company (make the math for the ROI)
Here's the main part. How to improve the website.
Some points:
- There are lots of Excel/VBA website, most of them are blog with lots of articles. Honestly i want to avoid it and delete that part from my website. I understand it's the best way to generate some traffic, but my resources are limited and i prefer to avoid become another vba blogger/tutorial creator. What do you think about it?
- I think now it's a bit to vague. I want to add the Services page and clearly describe my offers. Maybe, also with prices (like: "start from"). Is it a best practice or better avoid?
- Delete or avoid to continue the Tools section: i'm thinking it's not really aligned to the goal/services of the website, therefore it's gonna be another waste of resources.
- Offer a free service "Process Analysis", basically gathering info about the tasks and the amount of time spend and make an offer showing the numbers (time saved, money saved, roi). This to help getting a website inquiry and have some strong weapon in negotiation phase.
