That's a good point! I thought about this a little, but more in terms of maximizing my return on time invested. At the moment, I think I'll stick with Amazon for now because I don't want to try too many methods just yet. I'll expand to a few other product branches in my niche and see how things goes. I've considered selling ad space directly to people in my space, potentially dropshipping, setting up my own stores, and selling courses/ebooks that's relevant to my niche - spotted some gaps in the market that I could potentially fill.
It's a really good point though, and writing this force me to solidify some of these 'ideas' in my mind a bit more, thanks

Hmm, I think it's easier to explain with an example.
Normally, as an Amazon affiliate, you only focus in the US. If you have a UK visitor and you send him to Amazon US, you won't get any commission because he'll just go back to Amazon UK to get the product. With plugins like EasyAzon, they should be able to see where the visitor is from (in theory at least), and therefore send them to the Amazon store that's closest to them. That way, you'll gain more commissions from non US visitors. Let me know if I didn't explain this clearly, it's midnight here and my mind/eye is starting to switch off.

I found good keyword with low competition and good amount of searches.
It is not " best + keyword " or " keyword + review ". It is " keyword + for s.a.l.e ".
Guys what you say about this? Do you have experience of this type keywords? Can it be profitable?

Hey man,
Sorry, didn't see your post. I'm not sure. I've only looked at best/top/review keywords. I don't see why it won't work if it's decent volume and low competition.
Let's see if more experienced people have anything to add to that.

Summary:
I think I've bit more than I can chew. I've joined a few training courses and they've all just started to get a bit hectic - don't have as much time as I would like to work on this project. I did manage to spare time in creating a CDN using AWS. I've always been keen in learning about AWS, so it was fun trying it out, setting up the S3 buckets, CloudFront, etc. Other than that, I re-wrote around half of the first pillar article that I got back from my beloved writer.

In the next few weeks, I plan to continue rewriting the pillar article, post it (I noticed posting takes a long time to do!), and do a tiny bit of look and feel/page conversion if I don't have a lot of time that day. Random obstacles keep arising. Other than the training courses, I caught a fever this week. I guess my determination wasn't strong enough...I didn't work on this project at all for 2 days straight. I still pushed forward and posted my first pillar article though. I also uploaded majority of the images into my CDN, hopefully it'll load faster - I've not tested it yet. One major set back this week is my Amazon Associate account expired, I have to re-link all my old articles again. It's not difficult or too time consuming, just annoying.

It looks like the no. of unique visitors grew this week, although I think around 40 are from those spam sites that try to sell you traffic. If I took that to a count, the true growth is only around 22 visitors not 62.
I managed to achieve most of my goals this week. I wrote a guest post that got published, I created some manual backlinks, and worked on the 2nd pillar article a tiny little bit.
Next week's plan is simple. I plan to simply continue my efforts in creating manual backlinks and finishing off the 2nd pillar article. Going forward, I want to explore how to do social media properly, starting with pinterest or instagram. I also want to look into both white hat outreaching technique and setting up PBNs. Based on my limited research at the moment, I think it's possible to never get caught by google if done right.

I'm just creating diversity links - random links to diversify my list of anchor text. I use 1 - 2 links from the sites in the post and mainly link them to my homepage, but sometimes to the articles if relevant too. That way, I can use a PBN for my buying keywords.
How are you getting on with your link building?
