This thread inspired me to flip my blackhat earnings and start pushing some FB Ads. I am using a CPA network i will not be naming and direct linking using .tk domains. I did check with my AM first to make sure that direct linking would be ok and he said it was.

So far the camps are doing ok. I am spending around 300 a day and making around 400 to 450 in sales a day. So I am profiting around 100 to 150 a day, not to bad for starting out. I will definitely be scaling this up.

Edit: Oh, and I did make sure to set the target audience to 18 years old and above. Not sure if that matters, but it seems like kids would just click on ads and waste my money. I will be testing a few of the geo settings to try and fine tune it all.

My Ads were disabled on my account. What i think happened is one of the offers i was running started to use an iframe breaker and fb's system caught it. This is what they emailed me back and said.

"Hi name removed,

Our records indicate that your payments account was disabled due to suspected fraudulent activity. In the interest of protecting our users, we will not be able to reenable your payments account. This decision is final.

Damn it! I was running around 20 ads on there. I guess i will start over. But what really pisses me of is I cant even access the ad manager now to copy my ads.

Many people have asked me about the bidding strategy i use, so i thought to explain that a bit. It may not be the best strategy but this is what i use and i am satisfied with it. I read it somewhere quite a long time ago so don't remember the reference.

I start mostly with the highest bid suggest + 0.10 CPC. For e.g if i am suggested 0.12-0.24 CPC then i set the bid to 0.34 CPC and set campiagn budget to $10. Then i keep the campaign running for $10 and don't change the bid in between. When $10 is consumed, i pause the ad and let it remain paused for 10 minutes or so. I read somewhere that Letting your CPC catch up with your CTR lowers the CPC. So at this point i check how good is my CTR, if it is anything above 0.2% i resume the ad and increase the budget to $30-$40. I actually notice CPC drop for most of my campaigns this way. When it reaches the next budget limit i pause it again to let the stats get updated. Check my CTR, if it is still strong enough then i resume the ads with budget set to $200 and keep monitoring my campaign. This method totally relies on your CTR. Higher the CTR => Lower the CPC, Keep making new campaigns with different images and headlines. You will surely see improvement in your CTR and soon you will get a winner ad copy that you can keep running for some time.

Another thing i sometimes run my campaigns only in the peek hours that is 5pm - 12pm. This also gives me better CTR and more conversions.

• Ask a question in your headline of the ad. Example "Do You Like Nuts?"
• Have your take action line in your link description - Example "Free video shows how you can get 1 lb of roasted almonds for free. Click to watch."
• Choose an image in this case maybe a an almond nut and put a border around the image I use a red border most of the time as it is a good attention getter.
• Choose your locations wisely where the offer is available otherwise your spending money for nothing. If your selling Almonds and you don't deliver outside the US, You wouldn't target Canada.
• Target different age groups....split them up by 8 or 10 in age difference. Target people who can spend money....avoid 13-17 years old. Also if you were selling Depends, you wouldn't be targeting people who were 13
• Target precise interests in this case I would target people who like nuts, healthy eaters, people lowering their cholesterol etc.
• I always leave the broad categories alone.
• Leave connections targeting to anyone.
• Unless you are promoting dating offers, gender interests alone.
• If your product as e-book and it is Spanish only....don't target English speaking people. Just common sense.
• Start your first dollar amount campaign at $10.00 for testing purposes.
• Each ad should be done in age groups to split test them so you can see which ones are working and pause the others so you can tweak them later.
• Run a campaign continuously.
• Optimize your ad for clicks - click on manually bid for clicks.
• When pricing your ads in the campaign always go for the minimum amount of the bid range first. You will raise that amount to the maximum using the ad that is converting for you the best.
• Run your ads....give them at least 48-72 hours to see how they perform. Remember we are only spending $10.00 per ad per day. This is a good way to test your ads and tweak them. You want the ads that give you the best ROI. Its all about numbers.
