I own an audio production facility and I am trying to start a mini label in order to help the artists that I am working with.
I'd like to invest in video production, also, so that I could make videos for the music that I am working on. Could you recommend me some good tutorials/video production courses that could help me out in this process? How about some equipment ? I was thinking about Canon 5d with different lenses and lightning setup.
Cheers!

When Sony Vegas first started out it was an audio editing program. Because of it's early background as an audio editor, people say that the audio editing section of Sony Vegas is better than what you'd find with many other video editing programs. You'll find info and opinions related to what I just said on Google.

You can get easy tutorials about different techniques and best movie editing software from YouTube which have massive videos in different languages as well as by different movie editing experts.

If you are looking for free music video making software then Windows Movie Maker is the best choice. You just need to import the video or pictures and mute its voice then play your music in the background.

if you are doing video editing try adobe premier pro and after effects. Sony vegas is pretty easy to use since you have a audio editing background. If you are using a MAC then go with Final cut X. For tutorial go to youtube, they have everything you need.

Adobe software, Sony Vegas, Fruity Loops, and many others will help you out in this regards, for equipment point of view buy canon 600D its awesome for HD recording and its gives you the best result too.

There is a guy on youtube named Tom Antos, he also goes by Polcan99 who does great tutorials on filming music videos as well as other types of videos. He covers lighting, framing, effects, equipment, and so on. I learned a lot by watching his tutorials. If you are looking to learn special effects using after effects I would also suggest you checkout videocopilot .net Andrew Kramer does really awesome tutorials on how to do amazing effects. Other than those 2 suggestions I would suggest searching on youtube for tutorials relevant to what you are trying to achieve, that's how I learned how to do most of the things I'm able to do video wise. I hope this helps you out. Good luck!

Really depends on what you're going for in terms of quality and detail with video production. I invested maybe 3-4 hours creating a couple of promo videos, that turned out pretty good for the time invested. And I mean learning from scratch.

It was as simple as:

1 Collating the footage you'd like to use (I used a lot of free stock footage that you can find in HD all around the web - stop motion etc.)
2 Adobe After Effects - Putting together the timeline & overlaying my logo, transitions, simple opacity effect
3 Apple iMovie - to match up the music parts.
4. Export.
