Mozzila's Key Engineer: "You Must Stop Using Chrome Now" - Some Big Changes Coming ?

All browsers are rubbish. Just some is a bit less rubbish than its competitors. Firefox needs to concentrate on making something that doesn't look like Chrome for a starter. I hate all this hiding the menus thing.

When Corporation takes out all the middlemen and gets the total control as to what to serve to the searchers on very local targeted way, very tempting urge arises to manipulate their minds and so their actions. Leading them to think, act and live as Corporation decides. Almost like the Matrix that controls your perception of reality. Manipulation of your choices leaves no choices at all.
 
I recently had no choice but to switch to chrome from ff. I could have 3 tabs open and ff would crash even with no addons. Chrome runs fine with my 65 tabs open.

IE11 should be as good if not faster than Chrome, particularly with fewer than 30 tabs.

I'll take a shot, how bout aviator ? Feels like chrome, acts like chrome, even smells a little like chrome because it's built on the same Chromium code that google uses , But it's not chrome. Been using it since I ditched chrome and have no complains.
 
If we don't stop using google for our personal life, it might become the "true" skynet in near future.. Chrome is just another tip of the huggge iceberg..
 
Boycotting chrome will accomplice exactly jack shit. What we need to do is make money less impactful, LOL. How, I haven't got the slightest idea.

I had constant problems with fb on firefox. Turns out it was an issue with hardware acceleration. No problem.
Now I have problem with "Login with FB" on almost every single website. I cannot login to third party website using FB or Google when am using Firefox. Tried disabling all addons. Reinstallling it.. Nothing helped.

And finally, for the first time in all these years.... Google Chrome is now my default browser. Its sad.
But for me personal productivity > Future implication of Google chrome dominating the browser landscape.

I tried firefox after reading the article, it's actually faster now than before I left them for chrome
 
IE 11 and the new developer tools awesome. If you tried IE 11 is still a better and safer choice than chrome.
 
Another nail in the coffin about how controlling and intrusive Chrome is---on my own system, not only is it not my main browser, Chrome was installed only as a portable app on a flash drive. Yet every so often when running Firefox, I get script errors because of---you guessed it---Google Chrome running a script in the background! Apparently, even though it's not resident installed, and the core files aren't even connected by flash drive, Google deems it necessary to have put a Chrome script on the HD anyway, to monitor my activity through a different browser! This is why I use it as little as possible, and minimize usage of Google itself in similar fashion.
