I have found a good domain name in my niche that has great back-links and lots of incoming. all the other metrics are good except Moz spam which says 41%.
I checked links and the highest spam link is actually from a fully legit university in New Zealand which has a report that ties into my niche.
It has a TR on Maj of 3 and citation of 19

This isn't for a money site but a PBN feeder

I don't get the MOZ spam score - anyone plz help ?

EDIT : so I think I see what the problem is - it looks like another company bought them and put a redirect on the domain to the new companys domain - would that be a problem after I register it ?

1. First of all ignore MOZ spam score - its completely useless.
2. If the redirect is legit and look natural (as xyz.co.uk redirects to xyz.com for example) then is perfectly fine for PBN. However if the redirect is xyz.com to best-viagra-pills,com -> leave it.
Second that, moz gives lot of false flags, just go through the backlinks and if your eyes don't find them funny then it should be good to go

Spam score is not accurate.

You already said from your data that it marked as spam a legit link.
Why do you still doubt your data?

By far not accurate in my opinion.

Guys thanks for the answer really appreciate it

Check only Google search console for manual action and performance report. Moz is not a search engine.

How do we figure out which domains to disavow? What metrics or sites are you using to figure out spam scores?
