Moving main page to another URL after DMCA or getting a new domain ?

If domain.com were to get penalized and not show in the search results would transferring the website( main page) to domain.com/whatever be fine ? I've seen other iptv website have their main page on /iptv-offer and home page basically being empty, does it affect SEO ?

I bought a penalized domain so I'm thinking of either moving main page to domain.com/iptv or getting a new domain, site's new and got no traffic anyway

if the domain is penalized, moving to a subfolder might not help much. It’s better to start with a new, clean domain. Subfolders are fine, but overall domain reputation matters
 
No, if the root domain is penalized, everything is penalized.

I know watchseries already has a "workflow" for this, they recreate site on new domain with new colors and new tld and creates a large popup on every page saying "We've moved to newdomain.com!" for a few months then they just 301 it to new address.

Doesn't new domain get penalised if you do 301 redirect from old domain?

I bought a domain with bad history without knowing but there is a high chance that if I grow the website a little bit the new domain will get DMCAd as well, if that were to happen is the only solution to move to new domain as well ? There is one local iptv website that got hit and they just moved to domain.com/iptv-offers, they're almost always showing first in gsc, also the highest DR of all other local iptv websites
 
I don't think moving the homepage to the subpage on the penalized domain will help much. You can go for a new domain instead.

If the domain is penalised it stays penalised whatever you do.

It might.

What you can do is 301 penalized domain to a proxydomain.com and 301 proxydomain.com to newdomain.com

Then just redirect all burnt domains to proxydomain and change new domain.

The double redirect is not as effective as it used to be, but you can try it and see if it works for your domains, and if it doesn't you can just drop the redirect. DMCA strikes do tend to follow any redirection, so any successful strikes on the new domain will result in quicker penalties. This is why the 'free movies online' niche tends to use parasites for organic traffic, which then either link or redirect to the main site.
 
If you lost the traffic due to the DMCA notice, it doesn't mean the domain is penalized,
You can change the homepage URL as you pointed out and it should do the work without any problem,
It's a commonly used method for similar niches, just make sure you're redirecting the homepage URL only not the whole path (domain.com/)

How accurate is this? Doesn't the whole domain url get penalised?
 
Google might still associate the penalty with the main domain, even if the homepage is moved
 
Been there, I moved mine to /offer and it bought me some time but didn’t last.
